"Gosh, just been to Wistow and the Grotto is so wonderful - will be back tomorrow!! The place looks amazing, Christmas trees galore and mince pies to die for in the Cafe. Feel Christmassy already".

All good things come to those that wait and sure enough on Nov. 22nd, right on schedule, Santa finally arrived at Wistow Rural Centre to take up residence in his new grotto until Christmas Eve, (after when he apparently has to go somewhere else!)

And what an occasion - Leicester Radio were there to witness it all and as promised, a great time was had by all.  And I think the kids quite enjoyed it aswell!

All the elves were present to play games with the children while patiently waiting to meet Santa, and continued with brilliant fire engine rides, a treasure hunt and some people even indulged with a glass or two of (strictly non alcoholic of course) mulled wine, or the multitude of free cakes & cookies.

Everyone dressed up for the occasion (any excuse!) and joined in the fun.

If you haven't visited the beautiful Wistow Rural Centre, with Wistow Bistro Cafe, the Ken Bailey Garden Centre with a wonderful display of fine Christmas trees, and the character shops and boutiques, you've really been missing out.

But it's not too late to catch the 'Wistow Wonderland' magic atmosphere and meet Santa any day at the centre up to Christmas Eve.

Go on, make a day of it!
