Went with another couple on a Wednesday which was steak night and oh my, it did not disappoint. The steak was incredible, peppercorn sauce just right, lovely fresh off the vine cherry tomatoes and the chips seasoned perfectly. Will definitely be returning to try the ala carte menu and more steak nights!

We had one of the best ever Sunday lunches yesterday at the George. The roast potatoes were particularly delicious and the whole meal was excellent. Just the right amount of everything and plenty of gravy. Would highly recommend it and priced very reasonably.

We visited last evening,prompted by the new a la carte menu for October . What a fantastic meal we both had particular praise for th Venison which was perfectly cooked perfectly presented and a joy to eat.

What an amazing place, such friendly and welcoming staff, the food was amazing and very well priced, as a traveler who stays in lots of hotels each week I highly recommend the George. The young lady "Bar Manager" was also amazing making me feel very welcome and nothing was to much trouble, the bed was so comfy and for once in a hotel I had a great nights sleep. I will be back!!

Positioned in a beautiful village with a great ambience, this pub and its accommodation were great.
Great breakfast cooked and served by our hosts. Room was very warm and cosy. Hot showers were great. All staff very friendly and welcoming. An all round excellent experience.

We stayed at The George at Ashley for 2 nights in August 2023. We had a late lunch on Sunday which was lovely and very welcome after a long journey. We stayed in the deluxe room, which was 5 star on size, cleanliness and fresh. Breakfast was top notch, freshly cooked. The hosts were most welcoming and chatty. Will definitely stayed there again
