Lovely place to say nice and quiet nice rooms staff are very helpful and friendly Food is very good Wednesday night is Steak night which is great value, good beers too, plenty of nice walks nearby.

We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary at the George in Ashley last weekend with friends. We stayed overnight and enjoyed an excellent evening meal and delicious breakfast. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. The owners are dedicated, hard working and very welcoming and friendly. We highly recommend the George at Ashley for any occasion. Thank you to you all for a wonderful weekend 🙂

Sunday Lunch at its best. We have just eaten the most delicious traditional Sunday lunch. Generous portions of perfectly cooked food,served efficiently in a very friendly welcoming manner can’t recommend highly enough.

Comfortable stay and close to Market Harborough
Excellent cooked breakfast and pleased that they were able to cater for my gluten free diet. Felt very welcomed , staff went out of their way to help.

Just spent a lovely weekend at The George, in the very pretty, picturesque village of Ashley. We were staying for a family wedding nearby. Wonderful rooms, very comfortable & clean and a super fry up for breakfast! Staff were very welcoming & friendly! Would definitely return!

Fab breakfast and lovely dinner, including a very nice Rhubarb crumble more than big enough for two :-) Ashley is a charming and quiet little village.
When I booked on booking.com it asked if I would prefer a first floor room - I ticked yes as I wanted the room upstairs that I had stayed in before! However I found out it actually meant - would you prefer a ground floor room! Just a little confusing!

Great country pub
Pub was in a nice quiet location and had a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff. Interior was characterful with a small bar area and restaurant and there were plenty of tables outside to sit and have a drink on a sunny day. The room was clean and comfortable and both breakfast and dinner were really good. We were made to feel very welcome and would definitely stay here again.

Wednesday night Steak night was fantastic. We had the most stunning Scallop starter and the cauliflower/butternut squash purée was incredible. The steaks were done to perfection along with herb chips and sides.. Highly recommended 👍
