Wonderful village pub, hotel and restaurant.
Perfect location, very quiet village location only 15 mins from Corby.
Stayed for a couple of nights for work, room was well equipped, with everything you need, wonderfully comfortable.
Hosts were perfect, friendly and attentive.
Breakfast was freshly prepared to your requirements, using quality local produce, and proper coffee, setting you up for the day ahead.
Pin was nice in the evening, good stream of people using restaurant, proper traditional pub values.
Really highly recommend staying here, excellent value and very comfortable.

Was on a business trip in England.
I always try to find somewhere to stay overnight where you can just relax after a long day.

What can I say that The George at Ashley is more than that.

Simply mega. First thing to say is the pub is just awesome, that's how you imagine a pub to be.
Good local beer great atmosphere large selection and a great staff.

The rooms were super clean, very nicely renovated and very quiet.

The breakfast is also awesome.
I had a full English breakfast and what can I say it was one of the best in recent years.
It is also clear that the products are from the local butcher.

The owners are super nice and you can chat about a lot of things.

Next time we're in the area we'll definitely come back.

Keep it up and thank you for the great time.

Great traditional pub with comfortable rooms. perfect location, very quiet village, great hosts. atmosphere is great in pub. rooms are well equipped, comfortable, just note some rooms have a lowish beam, so mind your head! breakfast was freshly prepared with great quality ingredients, coffee from beans not instant. WiFi works well, really no negative points. nothing.

Went here for an overnight stay and was not dissapointed after reading many positive reviews.
Dinner was fantastic, I had the Thai curry to start and the Chicken for Main and my wife had Halloumi Fries for starter and Lamb for mains and everything was delicious. Food great, service great, prices great. We stayed the night and the room was very big and beds/pillows very comfortable.
Breakfast had a good choice, I had full English and my wife Eggs Benedict which again were delicious. There were plenty of other choices for cereal/fruit etc aswell as tea/coffe/fruit Juice etc.We would highly recommend at least a meal here but you woudn't go wrong with the accomodationa and breakfast also.
Neil and Steph were the perfect hosts also along with the other staff and there was a very nice atmosphere in the pub area also.

Fantastic Sunday lunch, the best I have EVER tasted anywhere and desserts also really lovely. Also extremely good value for money with Sunday lunch main course only Ā£12.95 (as of April 2023). Great range of real ales and lovely cosy pub with very friendly and attentive staff. They also have rooms for an overnight stay, although I've never used them so can't comment on the quality and comfort but I'm sure they're lovely too. Cannot rate the place and the food highly enough. Well well worth a visit and a lovely place to take both family and friends.

Food & drinks: Food and drink both excellent and brilliant value for money but please see my main review for more details.

A beautiful pub in the heart of the village of Ashley. We were welcomed warmly by all the family and the locals. Tasty local ales cider and gin šŸ˜ Dinner was delicious, we were there for steak night and it melted in your mouth. Our room was very comfortable clean and stylish. Itā€™s so peaceful we slept soundly. Breakfast was another great meal of local produce. All in all a fabulous place to stay eat or just pop in for a drink.

The George is a bit of an enigma! Local country pub meets 5 star restaurant, and it does not disappoint!
We were early for our dinner reservation and spent and enjoyable half hour in the bar area listening to the locals chat. The fire was lit, the dogs were friendly and the beer was delicious - I forget what I had now! You can usually gauge a good country pub on whether the locals use it or not, and here they certainly do.
We had booked for a Wednesday which happens to currently be steak night. We enjoyed three delicious courses, and I had a glass (or two) of the house red which was well matched to the steaks.
We were very well looked after by the Landlord and his team, and I wouldn't hesitate but recommend you dine here if you are anywhere close!
Next time we are in the area we will be heading there for a meal.

High quality food, great service and a warm welcome. We had our dog with us so sat in the back room of the bar to eat, which was perfect for us.

Exceptional The breakfast is high quality and a large quantity so don't expect to feel hungry again until this evening. We asked for eggs in a very specific way and that's how they were served. The room was clean, comfortable and compact with a feather duvet and pillows. We had a few drinks in the pub and chatted to the locals and the local Langtons beer is very nice too. Excellent value and lovely people. Highly recommended.

Myself and sister sstayed there for one night and we could not fault it. All the staff were professional and attentive. Its in a lovely quiet rural location. We had standard double rooms which were well appointed and clean and even included a pod coffee machine.which was a nice touch. Breakfast was superb. We also experienced the dinner and Dominie (sorry if not spelt correctly) was a vision of total efficency, checking in guests, serving behind the bar as well as waitressing. Not all nights are al a carte menu, but they have themed set meal evenings and we were there on 'Pie night'...all home made. So if you have a specific meal idea you would need to check prior to booking. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lovely place to stay with great food and drink. Loved the nice cosy bar and dining areas which both had a great atmosphere. Our evening meals were very good with all freshly prepared ingredients. Proper English Breakfast in the morning which was also really good. Nice rooms. I would definitely recommend this place and will hopefully be going again soon.

We booked this restaurant for a quiet evening meal. Welcome and service was excellent. The menu wasnā€™t huge about six starters, six mains but all very reasonably priced. Quality of food excellent. Dessert was good. Overall a good evenings experience.

Fantastic pub, food, staff and service from a small traditional village pub. Will most definitely be going back to taste more traditional village pub food and at very reasonable price. A hidden gem so wonā€™t say too much more.

My wife and I stayed recently and were very impressed with a lovely room and excellent food. The landlord and his wife were most welcoming and the pub had a great atmosphere. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to this part of the country.

All the way from Rochdale I went here for food with my boyfriends family and I was absolutely blown away with the pub, from walking in and receiving great service the staff were lovely. The quality and presentation of the food id expect to see in a fine dining restaurant, delicious. I enjoyed both my starter and main course and obviously the wine ! 100% worth the visit and a return.

Four of us stayed here 14th Jan Saturday night. A snug bar with wood fire was welcoming. Then we were taken to our rooms which were fabulous warm and welcoming. We had booked a table and had a fantastic meal from a simple menu using local products. We enjoyed our hosts attentions and great stories as we ate and obviously drank some wine. Prices were very fair for this restaurant quality food. Sunday morning and a great full English breakfast. We definitely recommend The George.
