My extended family and I ate at the George for the first time on Sunday. We'd heard that the food was very good and we were not disappointed. There was a great choice of starters, we opted for the Prawn Cocktail and Mixed Rutland hams - both were lovely. The roasts (beef, lamb and pork) were all great. the bottle of Morgon was fantastic and reasonably priced. Overall a great, welcoming and personable experience. well done to Chris, Carol and Dawn who looked after us so well - thank you! we'll be back...

Four of us had a great meal here last Friday . . . Great sharing starters, specials board as well as menu. . . . the lamb I had was so tender, real melt-in-the-mouth.

So many people attended the opening night that evening the outside area was packed! Excellent selection of wines, spirits, beers and cider. Recommended.
