The vet was very knowledgeable and even though we were not been given the best news (our cat is very poorly) he dealt with us in a friendly and professional manner. This made the difficult process much easier to deal with and make the right decision for our pet.

We had an emergency early hours Sun took our poorly pug, she was critical but after the care, correct medication and attention the awesome team showed our Pippin, thanks to Pool House she is alive and home today - cannot express my gratitude enough

I've been here a couple of times now with my new puppy and the staff are fantastic. Even when they're extremely busy, they never appear stressed and are always very patient and understanding. They were recommended to me and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others!

I Had to have an injection today the vet was very nice to me, i even let her cut my claws, and she told my owner that I was a very good boy.

We have used PHV Lichfield practice for over 13 years, a mix of dogs and rabbits. PHV care and service to us and our pets has been excellent. Costs are not lowest imo. But this is not the NHS!
I am well aware.
However the consistent great service and when the tough times come round with our pets the team have been brilliant and so professional.
Despite current conditions we are generally very pleased and only too happy to recommend this practice to other responsible pet owners.

We had to take our little naughty dog to pool house vets a couple of weeks ago. It was a Sunday afternoon and he had eaten some dark chocolates. They made him sick and also sent him home with some charcoal to help flush the toxins out of his tummy. All was great with the care. My issue was how we were treated finance wise. When I first called them up to tell them what he had done I was told it would cost £190! I said ok and took him up. Once the treatment was done he was handed back to me in the car park and no mention of money occurred so I assumed they would send the invoice to us for £190.
We were away the following week on holiday and it was about 5 days after coming home that an invoice arrived, now remember I said £190? Not anymore….. no now it was £297!!! I called them for an explanation of this and the woman in the finance office was absolutely horrid, so cold and calculating!! I just wanted an explanation as to why such a difference in price and I also wanted to know when the bill needed to be paid by. “You should have paid us on the day it was done” she told me very abruptly, I informed her no one had even mentioned money on the day! She then said “are you telling me you can’t pay cuz if you can’t we will start charging 15%interest!!” I told her I had the funds to pay but I wanted a proper explanation of how the bill had gone up by over a hundred pound!! “These things happen” she told me! When I checked the itemized bill I saw that they had charged me £100 extra for an out of hours service!! I can understand out of hours if I had called them in the middle of the night but at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon!!!!! Absolutely disgraceful service, just shows what a money making machine this place is, they really do not care about animals at all. Please please avoid using this place unless you have very full wallets!!!!!

I had to take my dog to emergency out of hours vet. Due to covid they collected my dog from the car after discussing problem and if we were happy with them to administer an injection if needed. My dog had treatment and was back to her playful self by morning. I highly recommend this caring and professional surgery.

Oh my word what amazing 👏people and place ..thanku Margaret , thanku Christine for saving me while i was driving 🚗 to you for my 6oclock appointment but all the roads where blocked 🚫 had z bit of a panic attack but you lovely lady Christine got me there ! ❤And then JAMIE was there with such kindness for me and my cat Tilly 🐈! Hopefully she be ok ?? Xx

Always been seen very quickly and the staff are so caring and understanding. They really try everything they can and give you honest advice on what's best for your pet. I have a cat and they are so great with him. I can't fault them.
