Dance, sing, act, film and develop confidence and poise in performing arts. The Pauline Quirke Academy in Lichfield welcomes students aged 4 -18 and provides sessions in:
- Comedy & Drama
- Musical Theatre
- Film & Television
All students are involved in projects across a variety of different roles and given the opportunity to develop their passion. Our team of experienced Teachers and Teaching Assistants, led by Principal Phebe Jackson, recognise and nurture the individual and unique skills of each child.
At PQA your child will not only develop their performing arts skills but are given ongoing opportunities to show them. Master classes by experienced professionals, trips to the West End, Trinity performance exams, an inhouse child casting agency, local performance opportunities, cinema screenings and awards ceremonies.
All sessions have been shown to help children:
- develop confidence
- improve their speech and listening skills
- gain in creativity and imagination
- improve school performance in English and Maths
- develop skills that they will use throughout their future lives, whether that’s on the stage or off.
- Develop a practical and theoretical understanding for both performance and Film.
The first PQA was launched in 2007 by actress Pauline Quirke, and continues to build on her experience and initial objectives – that performing arts should be about fun, not fame.
PQA Lichfield offers 3 hours sessions each week, with one hour focused on each specialised area. For more information visit our website or call Phebe Jackson on 01543 651890.
