What a beautiful Cathedral, inside and out. Worth a visit definitely. Visit was enhanced by a Christmas tree competition where trees had been decorated by schools, businesses or charities. We were given a token to vote for our favourite. This was sooooo pretty and enhanced the visit. Lovely.

Absolutely beautiful cathedral. Visited here last night for the 'Star of Light' show which was amazing & something completely different & unique. Very well organised & I'd definitely return

Once again the focal point in the city centre has provided the back drop to marvellous entertainment. Lichfield's version of illuminations was well and safely managed and the Cathedral and even the Bishops Palace provided a grand and stunning screen for the projections.
Once inside, the show (if you are allowed to call it that) continued. The stars at night section worked particularly well and the display of Christmas trees decorated by local organisations was delightful.
Very well done to all concerned

The Thursday evening Christmas service at the Cathedral is always a very special event. The cathedral is packed but the organisation is exemplary with many staff on duty and a stall with hot drinks and hot food prior to the start of the service ..... really well organised.

The Citadel band are always magnificent and whilst a serious element is introduced to the service there is lots of fun too.

The service is free of charge but do be generous with a donation for the cathedral, it really is worth keeping a wonderful place such as this going.

Make this your go-to service for Christmas in future ..... you will love it.

For the last few years the cathedral has put on a superb Christmas light display on the facade. It was well organised and the display inside was equally enjoyable.

Very unusual design for a cathedral with three distinctive spires. We love the walk around the grounds and the pond. Inside it's very atmospheric with a calming stillness to be experienced. The fine sculpting and marvelous stained glass windows are not to be missed.

When ever I'm on holiday, be it at home or abroad i do like to visit churches. I have visited York minster, churches in Bulgaria and Greece, however this place beats the lot hands down.

Myself and my wife were on a 4 day break and were staying at the Cathedral hotel which is a few minute walk away, my wife had done some research on various attractions and this was high on the list, well what a treat it was to our eyes. For myself, the experience started outside with the superb exterior which showed in detail the fine craftsmanship that went into the making of this fine Cathedral.

This continued as we went inside, the fine detail of the craftsmanship was displayed further through the ornate stain glass, the carvings surrounding the window and generally every where you cared to look there was always something to discover .
For me, the experience was absolutely fantastic to the extent that we returned the next day to ensure that there was nothing we had missed from our first visit.

The experience was absolutely brilliant and the next time we visit Litchfield, the Cathedral will be the first place that we visit, i can not recommend people visit this Cathedral highly enough and it's definitely worthy of my 5 star rating.

We'd been before and wanted to show friends the stained glass in particular. The Christmas tree display, and the nativity scene, were impressive. Good ambience too; music and a few words reminding us that Christmas is a celebration of the start off christianity.

We went to see this magnificent cathedral and it looked stunning as it was all decorated for Christmas with the Christmas trees all nicely decorated by the community.
There's a small gift shop as well as some historic buildings nearby.
Entry is free, although please give a donation to keep the cathedral open.

Definitely worth a visit if you go to Lichfield, not a big cathedral as cathedrals go but plenty to look at and obviously very beautiful, makes a nice change that’s it’s free to enter (which all places of worship should be) which sadly as time goes by are becoming less and less across the country.
Always leave a donation though :-)

A beautiful cathedral, in a great city. A stones throw from the city centre. Accessible to all. Gift shop is across the street in one of the medieval buildings in the cathedral close.

Very beautiful Catherdral inside and out. As I went in December there were a great many Christmas trees that had been decorated by many different schools, businesses, organistations for a charity competition and they were all lovely to see. The architecture is wonderful and it is truly worth a visit if you are in Lichfield.
