Decided to have a trip to Lichfield. It’s been a very long time since I was here.
Lovely day. Fantastic centre. Lots of shops. Very clean. Cathedral was wonderful. Cannot recommend a visit to this city highly enough. Will definitely be going again.

We’d never been to Lichfield but ended up here on a mystery coach trip. We thought we’d pay a quick visit to the cathedral but were unprepared for just how beautiful it is. It is stunning! On entering we were greeted by a couple of lovely ladies and offered a complimentary little cake from the local excellent cake shop. What a nice touch! They gave us information and leaflets. We spent quite a bit of time in there and were so impressed with the architecture, the information and exhibitions. We purchased a few of the tasteful little gifts in the shop area. So glad we decided to take the time to visit!

Beautiful cathedral that towers above the skyline of quaint Lichfield.
The detail on the outside is amazing and the stain glass windows on the inside are equally stunning!
A must see if in Lichfield :)

The must see building in Lichfield. On our visit volunteers were preparing for “Messy Church”. The information boards are very good and the displays in the Chapter House fantastic

Impressive and historic! I often visit the little chapel on the name of St. Chad which is 'hidden' at the very back of the church. Once a year an Orthodox Christian Liturgy takes place to honour and celebrate the nameday of the local Saint who established the Christian church in the Midlands. The first "Baptistirion" of the county can be visited, a few yardrs behind the cathedral. Very good visit overall, no matter how many times you go!

This is a working cathedral for the faithful, especially Anglicans, but also the wider community - their exhibitions and light shows attract a very wide audience and are outstanding.
