Fantastic architecture. Interesting subjects for the events, saw the Space event celebrating the landing on the moon. Enjoyed it. Would recommend it for Children who are space aware!

Lichfield Cathedral is one of the most beautiful in the UK, the three spires can be seen from a distance and for me welcome me home. The Cathedral itself dates back in part to c700 AD and is full of treasures and artefacts. There is also a strong connection with the military with Lichfield having been the birth City of the Staffordshire Regiment. It is possible to organize a tour around the Cathedral part of which takes you up into the roof, well worth while. It also houses the famous sculpture of The Sleeping Children.

Cathedral looked dirty from the outside which detracts from its beauty. Wasn’t impressed with the plastic moon map. It was good to see it being used for activities other than church services and fortunately it’s big enough that there are also quiet places for those seeking quiet time.

I was here to sing in a concert so unfortunately there was no time for a proper look round because all cathedrals are interesting. Perhaps next time.

The cathedral is a great sandstone edifice sitting close to an antient body of water. The inside is unusual in that beyond the screen it at a slight angle. The staff are knowledgeable, cheerful, and patient and the organ sounds as good as any I have heard.
