This is a two in one review. First is the Italian Night on Friday 27th October 2023. Absolutely amazing. The food was very delicious. The service was excellent. The staff are amazing. We are looking forward to the Mexican Night that has been promised for the future. Second is the Dining in the Dark. This was by candlelight on 31st October 2023, last night. It was Halloween themed and we tried the pumpkin soup....ahhhhh. Wonderful. Once again the staff were very attentive. We met some lovely people and it won't be long before we will be back. I went recently with a large group for lunch. The food was excellent and hot. The staff that looked after us, were wonderful. I appreciated the help given me by the gentleman staff. Nothing was too much trouble from the moment we went in and the Proprietors can be very proud of both of the staff that attended us.

Waitresses was very helpful, polite & friendly.
Food was perfect except the roast potatoes, they were hard to cut & tasted as though they were cooked the day before & reheated.

We were visiting my daughter in Kingsthorpe and was looking for a freehold pub for food instead of the usual chains.
Found this last minute and thought we would give it a try.
Lovely first impression, decor is clean, and pleasant.
Atmosphere was friendly and relaxed.
Was a bit worried it was going to be a bit of a 'clicky' local village pub but I was completely wrong.
The young man behind the bar was amazing, such an asset to the place. We were greeted like old friends it was really lovely.
After an agonising decision making time, so much mouth watering choices, we placed our order.
The food was perfection. Compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. I must admit I couldn't resist stealing a morsel off our other party members! Obviously we were full but there's always room for a naughty dessert, amazing, tasty, scrumptious and heavenly.
Even though we live an hour and a half away we will definitely be returning.
If you are ever looking for the somewhere friendly comfortable and with top notch food you will not be wrong visiting The white Horse in Old, Northamptonshire x

Once again the staff at the White Horse in Old were superb. On our initial visit they had made us so very welcome and now with my sister, brother-in-law and their little dog we were warmly welcomed again. The food was delicious, fish & chips, ham and eggs, tuna steak, and Chefs special pie went down a treat. The chef certainly knows what she is doing. The facilities are clean, the garden is welcoming, the music isn't intrusive, but most of all the staff are friendly and as we said before...we will be back!
