Went to a wedding celebration and reception here. What a wonderful day we had. The landlord Rob and his wife worked so hard to make it a very special day for the bride and groom who were let down by the first venue they picked in 2019. This wedding had been cancelled twice before.
It's a typical country pub and the marquees set amongst the trees made it a truly romantic setting. Everything ran like clockwork from start to finish.

Great food here. Lovely and helpful staff couldn't do enough to make sure our visit was an enjoyable experience. Would definitely return to this pub / restaurant next time I am in the area and would more than recommend it to anyone wanting a good (albeit with a limited menu at the moment) meal out.

Atmosphere was great, staff absolutely spot on but food was a little disappointing, we had roast beef and it was tough, and potatoes were re cooked, but desserts were lovely,on a whole though would definitely go again and give it another chance.

We booked for Monday lunch, as we had folk from Norway, Poland, Swansea, Northampton and Bourne coming together for first time.
It was a snacks menu, and we chose quite different meals.

Attended a wedding reception at The Stag and came away very impressed. The food was lovely and plentiful. Very fair prices on the drinks our table had, my favoured pint of the day Back Sheep was excellent. The landlord and landlady could not do enough for the wedding party and obviously keep their real ales in tip top condition. Shame that the Stag is a 2 hour drive from home as I would love to go back.

Kept on going through the difficult 2020 year with the provision of excellent and inexpensive takeaway meals. In the absence of a village shop has also been providing provisions such as bread, milk, cakes etc. Friendly, bouyant service from people who are clearly hard working and committed in very testing circumstances and providing an uplift to villagers from miles around!
