Disappointed with our visit. Zoo is very tired looking, signage out of date. Vegetation so overgrown you can't see the animals/birds. Saw a lot of staff and volunteers working (staff chatting to each other rather than working). Wouldn't return

Interesting zoo with a good variety of animals. Easy to park and walk around. Interesting story of how the zoo came about and Gerald's life. It was raining when we went so we didn't stay as long as we could have done.

Fabulous morning or afternoon trip when in Jersey. Great ethos left by Durrell and good to see gorillas getting a new home in 2026

Disappointed with the zoo. Map was out of date and most of the signposts were missing. When we did find the exhibits, there were very few information boards. If they put as many signs and info boards up as they have boards appealing for money, it would be a much better place to visit!

A fantastic place. We had the best time! The Orangutans were amazing and came right up to us inside. I was a little bit gutted as the reptile house was closed the day I went but this gives me a good excuse to return.

One of the best Zoos we have visited in a long time. Everything felt like it was for the welfare of the animals rather than the benefit of the viewing public (which is how it should be) but this did not distract from the viewing experience which was superb.

Difficult to choose a favourite but if I had to it would probably be the butterfly house closely followed by the sloths.

We should have allowed more time, we arrived at about 2pm and were still wandering around blissfully unaware of the time until we were told they were closing in a few minutes (at 5pm). An easy bus journey back into St Hellier when we did leave.

I just want to say a big thank you to Will Highfield at Durrell Jersey zoo. Following long term complications after a broken wrist, which had left me unable to participate in a paid for animal experience day, Will patiently and continuously helped me choose alternative opportunities. His continued correspondence and positivity during this time has enabled me to not lose out on such a fantastic opportunity. Thank you 😊

Quite pricey but certainly a good place to visit. Good sized enclosures, clean and well-managed.

It is a little zoo so do not expect a large establishment. Animals go to sleep so remember this and walk around until they wake up if you cannot see them at first glance. Lovely little oasis..... try and make sure you see the animals being fed as it's worth it.

Clean zoo, many animals were not seen due to the layout of the walks & vegetation in the way along the paths. Overall it was a disappointing experience & the cost was high considering what was on offer. We support the zoos idea of supporting conservation hence we went to see the What was available in terms of information was very limited.

Doesn't feel as vibrant as it used to, always a bit sad seeing animals in captivity but overall it was ok. An expensive day out if with kids, don't take food and get trapped in the shop on the way out!!

Really nice Zoo, with a great conservation message. The reptile house and large apes are great to see. You can easily spend 5hrs here. Lots of parking and the cafe was surprisingly good. I would say they could do with improving their signage, just finding the entrance to the butterfly house was not obvious at all, but the displays across the zoo are all really good. They also had the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition on which was fantastic.

Wonderful experience as always. Such a great place, which as a family we love revisiting time and again. Great to see the investment into the space too.

This is such a magical place to visit & a must-see if you are visiting Jersey... This zoo has so much history & is just wonderful.

The animals are amazing & the infographics for all of them are informative & eye-opening, there is so much to see.

We had a great time just wandering around & taking in all the sights & smells of the zoo, every part of it was amazing & I can't wait to go back!

If you book online there is a discount, so we'll worth booking in advance.

The bus journey is lovely & doesn't take too long to get there, & the buses are quite frequent.

My family love a Zoo and always enjoy visiting this place, I would just say it's a zoo like every other but they really enjoyed it, kept them entertained for ages (too long imo) so full stars.
