Really nice zoo and friendly staff. The sloths were asleep so the chap showed us some pics in his home. Really nicely laid out and the enclosures were spacious, especially the otter enclosure. A couple of enclosures were closed which is expected.

Great place to take the children, they had the hungry caterpillar trail on while we were there, which was very sweet. Quite a few of the animal enclosures were closed for upgrades, which was a shame but has to be done!

It is worth visiting, easy to get by bus, which run a regular service, around every 39 minutes.

Arrived there just as it was opening, walked around and didn't see many animals, but after wandering around and stopping for a coffee in the cafe we went for another walk around and by then there were many sightings of different animals, it is a good day out and they have a children's play area as well, the Gerald Durrell museum in the grounds is well worth a visit, the zoo is easy to get to by bus.. as is everywhere on Jersey.

Nicely curated Zoo but we didn’t see many animals in the exhibits. Sleeping? Hiding? Don’t know.

Fantastic day out.
Animal keepers very informative and knowlegable
Bring water if spending all day here as the cafe is long from the far end of the zoo.

If you want a big zoo with lots of the common animals then Jersey Zoo isn’t for you. It’s a small zoo principally focused on conservation. It is visitor friendly and easy to get to by bus. There is an app but we didn’t find it very useful. Good place for kids, plenty of room to explore and lots of lovely unusual animals to see.

Pick up a leaflet with a map on it before you go as they didn't have any when I visited. The map boards around the park are not up to date!
A lot of the cages are not very big.
I was expecting more rarer animals - as much as I love meerkats and capybara they're not in need of conservation help, they're in most zoos! I did wonder walking round what Gerald Durrell would think of the place now!

Our second visit to this zoo, our previous being in 1994. Although there were parts of the zoo that were very good, especially the orangutans, other parts left us feeling a little disappointed. There is currently a degree of disruption due to ongoing improvements to a number of the animal enclosures. Some additional enclosures have been added, but which were not included on the map as provided at the time. Recommend asking if there are any differences, closed enclosures etc on arrival, and also getting clarification on the precise location of any associated talks, we waited by the wrong enclosure for 15 minutes, and found a further tortoise enclosure later, which presumably is where we should have been waiting.

We bought tickets online and got two buses from St Brelade's Bay.
When we arrived we were told that a couple of areas were going through maintenance so we may not see these animals.
We saw some fab animals though, including birds, gorillas, snakes, toads, flamingos etc. and a lovely volunteer that we got chatting to pointed out a couple of marmosets that we would have missed otherwise.
Overall, a great spot to visit.

I am not a great fan of Zoos but this place has an international reputation and does amazing work. Having read so many of Gerald Durrel's books as a child, it was lovely to finally see the achievements of the Durrel Wildlife Conservation Trust in person.

Small zoo but definitely worth a visit, my husband has mobility issues and we hired a scooter I rang the day before to book, but really didn't need to as they have quite a few. Spent about 4 hours here. Seemed to be a lot of stuff for the kids to engage with.
