THE LOCAL SOUND OF SUCCESS – TOWN 102

The latest (RAJAR) audience figures are out, and once again Town 102 has seen more listeners choosing the radio station.

61,500 adults in Ipswich, Felixstowe, Woodbridge, Stowmarket & the surrounding areas of East Suffolk make Town 102 their station of choice each week. The numbers are up 4.6% on the previous quarter and up a whopping 64% from this time last year.

Time spent listening has also grown by 65% over the past twelve months, giving all at the station some rather big smiles as they celebrate the best audience figures ever achieved at Town 102.

Town 102’s Programme Manager (and Drivetime afternoon host) Paul Morris puts the increases down to the stations commitment to broadcasting local programmes:

“Word is spreading that Town 102 is now the only commercial station broadcasting its programmes locally (from studios in Great Blakenham). Another increase for us underlines we believe people in Suffolk really enjoy listening to a radio station that truly connects with the area it serves”.

He added: “We’ve got the best local talent on air with Nick Pandolfi at Breakfast, Dave James through the day, Craig Stevens on Saturday mornings and the superb Country Show with Brian Mann on Sundays. Add to that, we all live here too, so you can really hear the difference when you tune in.”

Town 102 broadcasts from studios in Great Blakenham 24 hours a day on 102.0FM and online at www.town102.com
