World Book Night - get along to a book shop or library

If I bump into you today, be prepared for me to give you a free copy of Gorky Park by Martin Cruz Smith. I'm one of the World Book Night givers and the idea is to share the love of reading. Especially with those who may not have picked up a book for years.

Although Hitchin Library is closed today, there's still lots you can do online. Including join, if you haven't already. Find out more at http://www.hertsdirect.org/services/libraries/findlib/libs/hit

Meanwhile, there's a choice of bookshops in Hitchin, from the independent Eric T Moore on Bridge Street and The Book Bug in the Arcade to Waterstones and WH Smith and a range in Oxfam and several other charity shops.

World Book Night is sponsored by The Reading Agency, so don't be ashamed if you have a Kindle (I do, too!). I also download music but love CDs. Oh, and I have a 'real' diary but still use an online calendar. Mix it up!
