"What do you think of Hitchin Town Centre?"
Benchmarking Hitchin with Action for Market Towns and the University of Hertfordshire.

Andrew Smith is a research graduate working for the University of Hertfordshire and with Mike King, a senior representative from AMT (Action for Market towns) a registered charity and membership organisation helping to renew and regenerate England’s towns. They are undertaking a town centre benchmarking project for Hitchin as well as 6 other towns around Hertfordshire.

Over the past month Andrew has been popping into businesses, around the town centre and in talks with individuals that use the town centre as well as collecting a range of insightful and vital information all about Hitchin's Town Centre. All this information will come together in the Hitchin Benchmarking Report being produced for the local council which measures the town's performance on a range of scales and indicators.

The key part which you can help with is a short Town Centre User Survey where we can build up a picture of how you rate the town centre; its range of shops, cultural activities, physical appearance as well as giving you recommendations of how to improve it. Whether you visit the Town Centre daily, monthly or not at all, we would greatly appreciate a minute of your time to complete the survey here;  and if you do have any other questions about the survey, or benchmarking as a whole you can contact Andrew my email, sa3andy@gmail.com
