Fred Burkitt launched The Blue Tree Company in 2013 with the simple goal of looking after trees properly and providing a quality and informative service to all customers. Prior to this, Fred gained his experience with a couple of tree surgery businesses. With Gristwood and Toms, Fred worked with a wide range of London-based organisations including Westminster Council, The Royal Parks and English Heritage. During his time in London he worked at Kew Gardens and was also part of the 2012 Olympic effort, helping LOCOG by providing emergency response in St James’ Park where he honed his practical skills and was able to complete the training necessary to become a fully-qualified Arborist. Following this, Fred returned to his roots in North Hertfordshire, where he set about establishing The Blue Tree Company.

In recent years, The Blue Tree Company has expanded with a team of three full-time tree surgeons plus additional resources available through a panel of carefully chosen independent tree surgeons. The team is fully equipped with the best equipment and materials with ongoing investment in new equipment to remain at the forefront of the industry.
