It has just been announced that the cover of the forthcoming Kaiser Chiefs album will feature art-work by Hitchin artist Sarah Graham.

"I've been talking to the band for about four years on and off, because lead singer Ricky Wilson saw my work in a gallery in Leeds. I'm thrilled with this - it manages to combine my love or art with my love of music," said Sarah.

Two days ago, the Kaiser Chiefs announced the release of an album of singles on 4 June (http://www.kaiserchiefs.com/news). Souvenir features some of the bands best-loved songs like 'I predict a riot' and 'Ruby', as well as two brand new songs.

Sarah's art already graces the walls of homes and art galleries around the world. Her style is best described as photorealism and the Souvenir painting features the bright colours Sarah is famous for. "Each painting can take months and I had to get this one done in just nine days," she said. "It's such an instant visual, with the pink and white of the rock and I wanted to add a brilliant, vivid blue background."

Watch out for the image appearing more and more as the band promotes their new album as we head into a bright summer.
