ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
Rhythms of the World 24th 25th July 2010
ROTW want to invite 4 practicing artists to each create ’an artwork’ on site during the festival weekend in exchange for a free weekend pass, cost of materials and access to our catering facilities!
The proposal should relate to the ethos of Rhythms of the World.
Visitors to the festival want to be able to observe the development of a ‘work in progress’ and ‘an artist at work’.
The artist will be allocated a workspace in the park in which to work.
The artist will need to take the weather into consideration when selecting materials.
ROTW would like to retain the option to acquire the finished Artwork at the end of the festival to add to the ROTW Art Archive but all work needs to be designed to be taken away or deconstructed at the end of the festival.
