Rhythms out of this World Festival’s Family Area Promises Planets and Stars

Rhythms of the World 2012 is pleased to announce that the theme for this year’s festival’s family area is - ‘The Planets’. Come along and enjoy a mixture of music, art, games and activities for children of all ages (and their families), all with a stellar twist.

Throughout the day, children and their families will be able to enjoy face painting, body stencilling, giant games, circus skills workshops with Circus Passion, recycled art workshops with Manna Cafe and a range of activities provided by Millie’s  Arts & Crafts, including a rocket and alien painting competition. As well as this, there is a schedule of workshops that will be running at specific times on each day of the festival, these include:


Saturday 14th July

1-2pm - Long Legged Beasties Storytelling - a collection of tall and short stories about monsters and creatures
2-3pm - Jo Jingles - interactive music singing and movement for babies and preschool children
3-4pm - Long Legged Beasties Storytelling Part 2
4:30-5:30pm - Fingers And Thumb Theatre Company - Recycled Shadow Puppetry

Sunday 15th July

1-2pm - Just Puppets - Puppet Making Workshop
2-3pm - Jo Jingles - interactive music singing and movement for babies and preschool children
3-4pm - Good Natured Music - original songs about the natural world for young children
4-5:30pm - Mish Mash Music - exploring drumming percussion and songs from different cultures

Unfortunately the  schedule cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to change.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a strict no drinking policy in the marquees and a no smoking policy in the Family Area. Make sure you bring plenty of water and sunscreen also please note children cannot be left unattended at any time.
