"We're giving customers more room to see all our samples by creating a new first floor showroom for hard flooring," said Helen Wilson, one of the team behind Charles Wilson Carpets at the top of Hermitage Road.
"The range of flooring we can offer is huge, and much of it was cramped into corners and now it's all accessible to customers. If they want to browse, they can do so much more easily and in comfort," she said.
The first floor showroom is stacked with laminates, designer vinyl tiles, wood and sheet vinyl. "As with our carpets, all our flooring suits a wide range of budgets and now we can really show off the samples to their best."
As well as home flooring, the team works with businesses on contract flooring and now they have examples to show off that are readily to hand.
All of a sudden, it's easier to see the racks and racks of samples. With a couple of rooms in my house needing new flooring, I'm spoilt for choice but at least I can now see exactly what my choices are.
