Anyone using the new Portmill Lane car park that used to be part of the Royal Mail sorting office can do so knowing that the profits will be used in the town.
According to an article in The Comet, Whitebarn Developments, who now own the property, are working with the community. Yes, that's right. a property developer who cares about us!
Eventually, the property will be developed but for now, it is being used for a car park AND its free after 3pm. People are still driving around the Portmill car park looking for spaces when there are plenty to be had in the new car park. And there is a handy car wash right next door too!
