Now we're definitely spoilt for choice at lunchtime in Hitchin with the opening of Mr H's in Hawkins on Bucklersbury.
Choose from a range of sandwiches and Gary from The Top Pickle will hand-make it to order - I can promise you they're delicious!
Gary has taken over the tea room at the end of Hawkins and now - alongside the traditional teas and coffeees - there's also beautiful sandwiches as well as cakes for when you deserve a treat.
Hawkins is one of our longest-established independent retailers and alongside their huge range of women's wear and men's wear, as well as school uniforms and homewares, there's now a great little toy shop, so everyone will find something they'll love.
And when you've finished shopping, pop in for a drink and a chat with Gary. Try one of his sandwiches and you'll be back for more! He make clever use of his own pickles and creates each sandwich by hand, with care.
My brie was delicious and I heartily recommend it.
