Want to read the new bestseller by your favourite author, but don’t want to be in a waiting list? Now you can, with the introduction of ‘Hot Picks’ at Hitchin Library. We have all the new bestsellers, from Philippa Gregory and Lee Child to all of the Man Booker shortlist, ready for you to pick up today.
‘Hot Picks’ work like this: nobody can reserve them, so there will never be a waiting list. They are loaned for one week at a time, and you can’t renew them from home. If you’ve not finished it in a week, just bring it in to any Hertfordshire Library and borrow it again!
As an example; the latest Lee Child/Jack Reacher thriller, “Never Go Back”, currently has 65 people waiting for it (at the time of writing). But if there’s a ‘Hot Pick’ copy in the library, it can be picked up today.
