Hitchin Priory have their sights set on raising £5000 for Keech Hospice Care for Children when they open their gates for a great Family Fun Day on Father’s Day, Sunday 19th June.

The event has been organised by Hitchin Priory’s head chef Stephen Hepworth and Sandra Luff of Keech Hospice with support from a number of local businesses. Starting at 1pm, the afternoon will be a mixture of food, fun and frolics not only for Dads, but the whole family. A range of adult entertainments including a chance to have a go on Segway personal transporters will be provided by Event Dynamics of Buntingford, while Taylor Amusements will be providing bouncy castles and carousels to keep the children amuse.

A wide selection of delicious food and refreshments will be freshly prepared by Steve and the Hitchin Priory catering team. Fresh bread will be donated by Stevenage Allied Bakery, and summer scones by 3663, one of the UK’s leading catering suppliers. No summer event would be complete without strawberries and cream and these will be in plentiful supply, thanks to Fresh Direct. After consuming the catering delights the more active and energetic visitors can really get in the swing of things and dance off the calories at a disco supplied by Global Hire.

“I hope the weather is kind, but Chartridge Conference Company has kindly donated the use of the huge marquee so that everybody can enjoy the day even if it does rain.” said Steve. “We are expecting over 500 people on the day, so it should be a great day for all the family. Local businesses have been very generous and some great prizes have been donated by local companies like personal stationery from Blueprint Design which will be auctioned on the day, and that really will help us realise our target for a very worthwhile cause.”

Family tickets (2 adults, 2 children) are £20, or £7.50 per adult and £5.00 per child and the tickets include all the food and entertainment. All the proceeds will be donated to Keech Hospice.
