Although there's been a fish and chip shop on Hermitage road since some of us were small, The Town Fryer has been doing a magnificent job since 1996.
A proper, traditional chippy, it's great - even for us vegetarians.
You get a good quality meal at a decent price and always a friendly welcome.

If you are a fish eater, they use the best from sustainable stock. For me, it's the best potatoes, chipped each day and fried in small batches - you might have to wait, but it's worth it!
