Fun Day for Hitchin - in place of cancelled festival 2013

Although no official announcement has yet been made, The Comet has today reported on Rhythms of the World's application for funding for a fun day in July.

Steve Smither, performance director, is quoted at the Hitchin area committee of councillors saying: "We want to keep the momentum of ROTW alive, to encompass some activities which would have been included at ROTW."

Concerns about a return to a full-scale town-centre event were raised, but Steve said that music would only be audible in the Market Square.
