Crumbly Wumbly and Wobbly Bottom

We must give a big hand to the organisers of this year's Food and Drink Festival for introducing many new customers to some of our local delights.

Hitchin has long been fortunate in having some of the very best places to eat and drink in the local area and this festival confirms that we also have some of the very best local produce available.

Crumbly Wumbly cakes never fail to impress and I, for one, can never get enough Wobbly Bottom cheese. Seeing them together on the Market Place this weekend was actually quite moving - local businesses doing well.

But there was plenty on offer. Apparently, the hot dogs went like hot cakes and wine, beer and cider were all flowing.

The weather could not have been better and the atmosphere was lovely as people wandered between the stalls.

So, if you tried something new this weekend, don't forget that they need your business all year around. Who needs to go any further than Hitchin to taste the very best?

Does anyone know how the attempt on the world record for highest stack of toast went?
