In its first year of trading in the beautifully renovated 'Herm' - a rock 'n' roll venue, bingo hall and night club in its past - our own Hermitage Road restaurant is one of 38 establishments awarded a new Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide 2013. They are in illustrious company, alongside Adam Byatt's Bistro Union in Clapham Common, London, the White Oak in Cookham and the Apple Tree Inn in West Pennard, Somerset.

The Bib Gourmand recognises establishments offering good food at a moderate price and a total of 137 restaurants retained or were awarded Bib Gourmand status in this year's guide. They include Rick Stein's Cafe in Padstow, Stravaigin in Glasgow and the Fox and Grapes in Wimbledon.

Many congratulations to all the team at Hermitage Road. Book a table for a special meal or a Christmas party and you're guaranteed gorgeous food in lovely - and musically historic - surroundings.
