Each year thebestof runs a nationwide campaign designed to encourage local residents to shop locally and support their favourite independent high street businesses.
Local residents can vote for their favourite business and are then placed in a prize draw and each day of the ‘Buy Local’ campaign a lucky winner is drawn at random and receives £100 of vouchers to spend on a local business.
So you can imaging our delight when local resident Hilary Kemp, pictured here with owner Rob, was drawn out of the hat.
“I love Hitchin and originally came across The Yard in Churchyard and from there found my way to La Maison Blanc” says Hilary (both are owned by locals Rob and Laura).
“ I just love the way the shop is laid out and they have some exquisite pieces. “ I can’t wait to start spending my vouchers”.
