The BBC cameras were at 'everyones favourite local', the Victoria Pub in Hitchin last Wednesday so I went along to see what all the fuss was about. Victoria had sent a message to my wife Louise and so Louise took our kids to Rugby and Brownies and I went along for a look-see and to support Victoria.
Well, what an absolutely brilliant and uplifting experience! I'm not a big drinker and rarely go out these days (I know, I'm a real Sad-o) but The Victoria Hitchin is featured on thebestofhitchin and is a really friendly pub and I soon got chatting to a couple of the regulars.
So anyway, the point of me writing this blog is to say well done to Victoria, you have created a thriving business in very difficult times and a focal point for the community in the local area.
The fact that the BBC Look East were there in recognition of what you have achieved is a great testimony to you and the hard work that you have put in. Keep up the good work!
