There's so much music going on - just ignore the rain and let your hair down.

There's lots going on at The Victoria pub and across Hitchin to fundraise for Rhythms of the World's 25th Anniversary.

Meanwhile, Jade Green, 26, from Shefford is organising ‘Meow Fest’ on 4 and 5 June to raise funds for Hitchin’s Dr Hadwen Trust (DHT), as part of their ‘Grand Challenge’.

Said Jade, “I live near Hitchin and feel really passionate about DHT and the work that they do. I organised a smaller festival last year for another charity and I felt really inspired to organise something bigger to help raise awareness and funds for the DHT.”

The two day festival is taking place at The Bridge in Shefford. Meow Fest will have two stages - an outside acoustic tent, and a band stage inside. The music is completely diverse with nothing too loud! The event is open to all with families particularly welcome. Children are allowed on the premises until 8:00 pm. There will be a BBQ available all weekend.

Jade is a singer in the band Dirty Parlé playing on Saturday, who have reunited especially for this festival. Find out more here
