On Monday 10th December more than 100 Hitchin based LV= staff braved the bitter cold and snow (from a snow machine!) dressed as eLV=s to raise money for Garden House Hospice.
The hospice had recently launched its ‘Wear a Santa Suit for a day’ 2012 Christmas fundraiser and as LV= staff wore Santa Suits in 2011 – they decided to be eLV=s in 2012! Letchworth Round Table supplied the Santa and sleigh and Santa was kept busy giving out some early Christmas presents to children under five supported by Homestart North Herts. – another local community charity supported by LV=.
Colin Roberts, Head of Fundraising at Garden House said:- ‘What a great way to promote the 2012 Wear a Santa Suit for a day fundraiser with over 100 LV= staff dressed as eLV=s! They looked brilliant! Although they must have been freezing – they all appeared to be enjoying the experience – although they did move back indoors pretty sharpish after the photos were taken.’
