I visited the park in April after my partner bought me a red pander encounter.
we got to the park around 10 in time for the opening and found that very few people had shown yet....this made the start of visit better than expected. We found that even when the park got a little busier the number of viewing areas around all of the cages/pens meant we had no trouble seeing the animal's and getting some great pictures.
We attend the cheater talk and was amazing to see the keepers get up close and have so much interaction with animals that could cause so much harm if they wanted to!
However the best was saved till last, we was met at the visitor's centre by our animal handle who took us over to prepare the food and explained the diets of all 3 Red pandas and the reasons behind why the specific diets for each. we were then taken out to the enclosure and told what to expect and introduced to all three and were shown some of the techniques used for training these beautiful animals, our handler was very good and kept us so informed.
What an amazing experience it was to have meet Tej, Tilly and Roz and is even better that we were discussing the possibility of babies during the visit not knowing that tilly was carrying cubs all along! Congrats to paradise on the births of the new babies, we cannot wait to get back that there to see them...aiming to go within the next few as it was so good so we can take our nephews and they can experience it to. We attended another experience recently and it didnt have a patch on paradise highly recommended

Paradise is very small in terms of animals - we went round twice in under three hours and got some great views of most of the animals. There also appears to be a great selection of animal experiences if you want that sort of thing. Much of the park, however, is given over to rides and play areas for smaller kids.
In short it's a great zoo for small children with short attention spans but not so good for teens and adults wanting to see a lot of animals. Having said that if you are a big cat fan then still very much worth the visit as the views are great but go outside school holidays if you can if the noise of screaming kiddies spoils things for you. My teenage daughter and I did get a little fed up of unrestrained children screaming at the animals but fortunately the animals themselves seem used to it all!

I have been coming to Paradise Wildlife Park for 20 years now and it just gets better and better. The staff are brilliant there, so friendly and informative, in all the years I have been going there, they have always been great. Last time I went, I was lucky enough to see a member of staff training the cheetahs, it was incredible to watch and I would love to see that again!

There is a huge variety of animals; Penguins, Meerkats, Lions, White Tigers, Wolves, Leopards and so many more. There are many birds of prey, reptiles and there is even a Bat cave which you can go inside. You could never be disappointed by the amount of animals there are and they are all so easy to get a really good look at. One of my favourite things is the Lorikeet enclosure which you can walk through, you pay for a cup of nectar and go in and all the birds come and land on you, which is such a lovely experience and they are beautiful birds. There really is so much to do, with plenty of shows and you can also see the big cats getting fed. A big hit with kids, is always the petting farm and you can pay £1 for a bag of food to feed the Pigs, Goats and Sheep.

The zoo is always spotless and has a restaurant with a nice place to sit and eat outside too. There are also plenty of little outlets around the zoo, selling food and drink. There is a wonderful giftshop and a great play area and mini arcade bit for the children, which as a child, I absolutely loved. There is also a crazy golf course, which I think you pay extra for, but is still a nice addition. It is very easy to get around as it is so well mapped and sign posted.

You can also do many experiences; such as feeding Tigers or if you're feeling less daring, maybe feeding and meeting the Meerkats or a Red Pandas. You can also do other experiences, like shadowing a keeper for the day. The choice really is endless and I hope to do one of them one day!

There are so many things to do and see at Paradise Wildlife Park, whenever I go there, I stay there for hours. Definitely one of my favourite places to visit. I couldn't recommend it more!

Paradise Wildlife Park is a wonderful day out with a great variety of things to do for all ages! I visited with my two year old niece and she loved seeing all the animals, but there was also lots of other things to entertain her such as the outdoor playground, soft play area, train ride, bouncy castle, paddling pool etc.

I have also visited a few times with my friends and we have enjoyed the keeper talks and animal feeds which are very interesting and informative. You can tell that the keepers are very passionate about their work and have a wonderful relationship with the animals in their care. It is also great to see the work they do towards conservation. All of the animals look very content and healthy and have lovely enclosures. The enclosures are well designed for the animals and also well thought out for visitors to enjoy seeing the animals. As a wildlife photographer enthusiast this is a great place to visit to see a great collection of big cats and other favourites like red pandas, otters and wolves! I look forward to visiting many more times in the future!

Expected to go here for a few hours and ended up being chased out by the tigers! Superb place. Can't believe how close you get to the cats!

Have been to Paradise on 4 occasions and have never been disapointed!

if you are a fan of big cats this is the place to go, you can get up close to white tigers, white lions, Amur tigers, Sumatran tigers, African lions, snow leopards, leopards, cheetahs and ocelots. they also have penguins, meerkats, monkeys, gibbons, lemurs, zebras, tapirs, wolves, wallabies, reptiles, birds and so much more!

The staff have always been very friendly and helpful, and gladly answer any questions myself or the children have about the animals,

we usually take the train from London which is easy enough and the fantastic mini bus that collects you from the station ant takes you right to the park is excellent.

In the summer months when it is hot the outdoor paddling pool is a Godsend to cool down.

overall i would recommend Paradise wildlife park to all ages, and it is soo much better than London zoo!

A great place for animal lovers, especially those who like big cats!

Saw a ginormous Tiger that was so majestic and elegant, as well as a Large Lion and Lioness at feeding time! I had never realized how strong their jaws must be till I heard them on the meat!

There is a great variety of wonderful animals to see, lots of special birds, smaller animals like Meerkats, as well as some wolves and more!

I love it here, I have been visiting at least 3 times a year for the last 6 years. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, not to mention the white bird who always says hello!. There is so much to do, we are never bored and easily spend all day here. We always time our visit so we get to see the tigers getting fed. Its amazing all the different tyoes of big cats. Its a beautiful setting and always so clean and tidy I can not fault it. Make sure you visit!!

Me and my family visited Paradise Wildlife Park and had a great day out. My family and myself had a lovely day and there is a variety of different types of animals.

Today was our second visit to Paradise and as we live nearly 150 miles away its not just a quick visit. What a beautiful park, it is kept immaculately, and all the staff are so friendly and informative. I have been lucky on my two visits to the park to "Shadow a Big Cat Keeper" ......wow it is without doubt an amazing experience to get up close and personal with big cats. Last year I hand fed Rocky the Tiger and today I hand fed Moto the Lion.......I cant tell you how incredible it is to get so close to these magnificent creatures and learn all about them first hand, and the Staff are amazing, they really take a pride in what they do... they work long hours and show a remarkable passion for the animals in their care, they are so knowledgeable about all the animals and they all have a wonderful rapport with them......its amazing to hear the keeper just call to the beautiful white tiger Bakail and he comes right up close to the fence to see him.........amazing. This just goes to prove how well cared for and well looked after they are. I have learnt so much about big cats from my visits to Paradise, and today was lucky to see the Jaguar Ares.......a stunning big cat. Another special moment from my day was feeding the young wolves by hand.....We saw these as cubs last year when they were three months old....how they have grown. Do not hesitate to go to Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne, its awesome.

it was a very good experience, very organized, it was fun day out, I would recommend it to all my friends and I would definitely go back.

Paradise was a very good day out even if we did get soaked to the bone. Animals are happy and healthy and you can get the chance to see them being fed. Paddling pool, face painting, and playgrounds for the kids to do. As well as soft play all included in the ticket price. Great day will definately be back.

I've visited Paradise Wildlife Park many times since a very young age with my parents and older brother, and have seen it continue to grow.
My most recent visit was on 26th August 2013, during which my mum took part in an 'experience day' in which she got the chance to hand feed a tiger as part of her 50th birthday present. She absolutely loved it, and me, my brother and dad were all also able to get as close to the tiger as she was, and also joined her on the tour beforehand. The keeper that took us around was extremely friendly and made us all feel very welcome.
We also got chance to enter the lorikeet enclosure with a pot of nectar each, so that the birds landed all over us - which was great fun too.
Overall the zoo has a great selection of animals and all of the keepers are well educated on the animals, all of which are clearly very well looked after. A great family day out.

I have visited Paradise Wildlife Park many times over the last 20 years and am always impressed with the improvements and changes made each time. This proves that all the money visitors put into the zoo is well spent.
I visited on 26th August for a extra special visit. My children had bought me the most fantastic animal experience - I went to feed a tiger! Keeper Aaron took me to see Rocky the Tiger and I fed him by hand! It was the most wonderful experience - I could feel his breath and at one time he even licked my hand - obviously only to get the last bits of blood off my hands but it was still amazing.
There are so many other experiences available, that I may be tempted to do another one!
I would certainly recommend this as a day out for adults and children as there is something for everyone.

We Visited on the only day it seemed to rain over the summer this year with some friends from Poland, and we all had a great time.
Its a convenient location as it is easily accessible by car, and they also run a shuttle bus from the local train station.
It has loads for the kids to do, with a large playground and a few small rides, so even really little ones can get involved.
All of the animals look well looked after and seem happy in their enclosures.
Everyone seemed to enjoy seeing the big cats the best.
Overall its a great day out for the whole family, and you can easily spend all day there.
My only criticism is I find the food in the restaurant a bit expensive for what it is, but it does the job, I would recommend taking some food of your own to help keep the costs down.

I have been twice in the past year in and thoroughly enjoyed both times. Once at the start of the year in the snow which made the park feel magical and again during the summer heat wave which was a nice change for the UK. The range of animals, interaction and information provided is to a very high standard and I highly recommend at trip with small children. The red panda and meet the Meerkat experiences are very good as I was involved and witness both first had. Overall its a great day out and lots to see.

We went to Paradise Wildlife Park for a return visit for the first time this year. As always it is great for younger children as small and compact and little legs don't have too far to walk. Plus there is a big play area and a splash pool. They are always making improvements to the place and reinvesting. My only down point would be the price of the food but they are very happy for people to bring their own picnics. At over £40 for one adult and 2 kids it is not a cheap day out ( especially as you then pay extra for train rides and go-charts etc.) so make the most of it and go for the whole day.
I love the big cats so will be back next year. Also a good place for school trips!

First off, let's try and make something very clear. The care of animals and the conservation of species is the reason that places such as this exist. It's not there so you can go ooh and aah at the big cats for free. It costs thousands of pounds a day to keep such a place as this open, whether 1 person turns up or 5000, whether it's sunny or rainy, whether you stay for an hour or all day.

Sadly, most of the thousands go to the government. Because of this, I don't begrudge a single penny of the admission charges I pay for the privilege of being allowed to get safely close to animals I would never otherwise have a chance to see.

Secondly, anyone who ever experienced the old (and deservedly maligned) Broxbourne Zoo must surely remember the awful, cramped conditions the poorly kept animals were housed in. Those who have been or are planning to go to Paradise... take a look at the coati mundi enclosure: that's where they used to keep one of the big cats! Paradise has changed itself beyond all recognition from that abysmal place.

I've visited Parade quite a few times over the past couple of years: mostly with my wife, sometimes with my teenage sons and a couple of times with close friends. It never ceases to prove itself to be a great day out.

I've also been lucky to have been given as presents some of the "Experience Days", such as the Tea With Tigers (a guided tour of the big cats followed by a very tasty tea in the Tiger Treetops café) and the Photography Experience (expert tuition followed by "up close and personal" visits to some of the enclosures). I loved getting among the lemurs!

I've never visited with young children but those I have seen seem to be enjoying themselves. Apart from the obvious attraction of the animals, there are the usual playground facilities, a paddling pool, face painting and a stage area which has entertainment shows.

To put it simply, you'll get out of the day whatever you're prepared to put into it. I'm always there with my camera in the hope of getting that fantastic shot that makes everyone say, "Wow!". On our recent visit we saw one immaculately dressed young lady making faces and looking for some way of washing because a goat had licked her hand.

We walked among lorikeets who spent ages chewing on my ears or biting my necklace and depositing messy little packages all over my hair and clothes. We then heard someone complaining about the smell coming from one of the cat areas. Er... these cats are territorial and mark their boundaries with urine. What did you expect?

My point is, don't expect all areas to have been vaxed and bleached. These animals are in as natural an environment as possible, which is how they should be if they're in captivity.

So, Paradise Wildlife Park is, in my opinion, a great place to visit. The animals are well looked after and the staff obviously love caring for them. It's worth going back at different times of the year to see the differences seasons can make, especially to the grounds.

Finally, if the cost is a little too steep for you, it's well worth checking our their Facebook page as they'll often have a code for £10 off if you spend more than £25. Just remember that practically every penny goes to the welfare of the animals and to their supremely important conservation work.

And yes, I've already got my tickets for the next visit in a month's time.

Paradise Wildlife Park is just fabulous, there are a wide range of animals which all look healthy, well looked after and happy in their surroundings which for me is a must! I loved seeing four of the five species of big cat and look forward to returning in October to see the new jaguar! I was blown away at how close I could get to take a photo of one of the beautiful white tigers, which appeared to be posing for the camera! the white lions are a gorgeous little family and my nephew whom I took for his 3rd birthday was very happy to see them on their new 'bed' as he says, since he witnessed Moto destroying the other one a year ago at our last visit! my favourites are the meerkats, I love that you have the clearest view of them and I can watch them for hours, they are all cute little characters, in fact my nephew felt I was spending too long there and dragged me away! the site itself is very clean, and has good amenities. There is so much to do and see for the little ones (and the big ones) and it is obvious that they are making improvements all the time, as I say I can't wait to return in October to see not only the jaguar but the new wolf enclosure/walk. my nephew loves it there and has very strong memories from his visit when he was 2 and again now from our most recent visit, he talks most about Moto the lion and Bobby the parrot, who always says 'hello', love him, such a character! no two visits are the same as there is always something new to do or discover, it is an amazing day out. I particularly like the minibus service from the train station since I can't drive, it makes it hassle free getting there, although I preferred it when it was a complimentary service (who wouldn't) but £1 each way per person is a reasonable charge and as I said it does make things easier! would recommend this as a perfect day out for anyone who loves animals - five stars! can't wait to visit again very soon! I visit Paradise Wildlife Park frequently with my son as I have a season ticket (great value!!). The animals seems to be very well cared for and the keepers are always friendly. I recently fed the ring tailed lemurs as my birthday present from my husband and would highly recommend it! A great place to spend some time all in all.

I absolutely love Paradise! There are plenty of things to do and see (for all ages). The animals are well looked after and the keepers really know their stuff and are extremely friendly.

Paradise also hold great special events. For example Mother's Day packages, pamper days, education visits with special guest and what I am looking forward to the most Tigerthon :)

So all in all Paradise is a great day out and I would recommend to everyone and anyone!

I love Paradise Wildlife Park! It has so much to do for the whole family.. I am always recommending paradise wildlife park to friends and family.. I am hoping to go again very soon! If i lived closer i would probably be there every weekend!

Paradise Wildlife Park is one of may favourite places to spend the day. I've been going regularly for many years now, to the point I'm on a first name basis with most of the animals! This is not a place just to take your children, animal lovers of all ages will absolutely enjoy it, walking around the immaculate gardens (or the woodland!) while having the opportunity to encounter fabulous creatures, from birds, big cats, primates, farm animals, reindeer, wolves, reptiles, the range is impressive. Some can be fed with the food sold at the entrance or if you're feeling adventurous you can book an animals experience and feed meerkats, tapirs, penguins or even the extremely handsome tigers and lions! My main focus, personally, is animal photography and I have been lucky enough to capture some incredible shots. The park is not gigantic so you can see all the animals without collapsing from exhaustion. For the little ones there's soft play area, a big playground, train and tractor rides and a swimming pool during summer, also two cafes and a restaurant. For added interest for motor sports fans, they house the Speedway Museum. Make sure to watch the animals feeds and talks that happen throughout the day, the keepers are all very knowledgeable, extremely nice and they love to talk about their animals. I find specially helpful they provide a mini bus going from Broxbourne train station to the Park so even non-drivers like myself can enjoy the day out. To be absolutely honest is not cheap specially for families, but they accept Tesco vouchers and discounts and special promotions are available. I believe recently they've made overnight accommodation at the zoo itself available so if you come from a distant area it's worth to check it out.
