Lovely day out for my 3 grandsons , but as a pensioner treating my grandchildren to ice lollies,
I bought 3 ice lollies nothing fancy but nearly £6. Come on £1 each expensive but probably expect that but prices rip off for a cheap ice lollie won't buy again, also some attractions not manned like the go carts my grandson could not move as 3 blocking race track no one was on them his £1 ran out and he hadn't moved very dissatisfied .

Haven't been for years and still loved it! Zoo is just big enough not to kill you walking around it and plenty to do for lively 6,8 and nearly 10 year olds.
The only gripes are the cost (and then extra for stuff inside the park) and the coffee!!! How difficult is it to make a decent cuppa? Had a cappucino in The coffee shop near the big cats and it was foul. Super heated frothy milk that left a film on my teeth and a nasty taste in my mouth AND cost £2.40. In the play area I was charged £1.40 for 3/4 cup of instant coffee.
Decent coffee doesn't cost the earth and if i can make it at home for pennies surely such a large attraction can?

Easy transport with train to the train station. However we waited 45 minutes for the bus service that was mean to come after booking it but none arrive. As we had small children with us we had to take a cab in the end. What a let-down. Inside the park there are no let downs. The Lions and Cheetah's dens can be viewed from many angles, on both ground floor and stair level. This means that you can even see the animals that may shy away otherwise. Great outdoor space for resting, snacking etc. Also a great indoor soft play area. Good mixture of animals enclosed in a safe environment. The fast food restaurant was a bit of a let down in terms of quality of food. I'll bring my own food next time. I think you get a lot for your money here compared to London Zoo. Will definately come back.

Wonderful experience meeting the meerkats - you got 30 minutes in with them. They do advise to wear old clothes as they climb all over you and they did. Even had one on the pocket of my jacket for a while. The keeper was very knowledgeable and happily answered all our questions. Great experience which we hope to do again.
Unfortunately, the weather was very wet so din't get to see as much of the other areas as we would have liked.

Spent the day here and really enjoyed it. A couple of negatives - the car parking spaces are not long enough for the majority of cars! Please make the car park suitable. A lot of the enclosures seem too small compared to other wildlife parks/zoos we have visited. Positives - there are two halves to the park, the animal side and the 'play' side. You can get very close to all the animals which is amazing. Snow leopards and white tigers that I've never seen before are fantastic. Our boys (10 & 6) loved feeding the lorikeets, and it is a bargain at a £1. They also loved the play areas, lots of space to run around and climb. We took a picnic so can't comment on the food but the drinks were reasonably priced. We also popped into the shop before leaving and again this was reasonably priced in comparison to whipsinade. Definitely worth a visit.

We drove for 5 hours to get to this well run Wildlife park.Bought as birthday experience for my Feline loving partner . After a well presented introduction about the park and it's animal inmates we were led out into the park.The Keepers were well briefed and could answer all questions and are very passionate about their charges.As for the tree top cafe it was OK but had to stay inside due to inclement weather which was disappointing.The park is kept spotless with very knowledgeable friendly Staff A Great day out better than ZOO's they have far better enclosures giving the animals much more room.

Paradise Wildlife Park is situated in the borough of Broxbourne, Herts. Surrounded by woods it is an excellent day out seeing the animals and wonderful for children in the play areas. This venue is also available for functions - christmas parties, weddings etc. Enquire as to the many deals they have i.e.: yearly subscriptions. Can be an expensive day out but someone has to buy food for the animals and pay wages.

A bit expensive to get in, but once you are in and walking around viewing all the great animals there you soon seem to forget about the price! Took some really great photos today and even managed to capture some of the new baby Red Panda. It was just a shame I couldn't get closer to some of the animals - still there is always next time!

We took our three year old grandson for a day trip. He had a wonderful time watching the big cats, my passion is tigers and they have two amazing white tigers, white lions, beautiful leopards and snow leopards. The meerkats are great fun to watch as well. All the animals are easy to see and there are built up walkways so you can look at the big cats from above the enclosure without the wire fence obscuring you view. He loved all the adventure playgrounds dotted around the park, and loved the jungle gym located with the cafe which served lovely baguettes and hot Pannini which were not too expensive. I highly recommend it, great value for money, we were there for five hours and other than something to eat, and £1 fare for the train, everything was included in the entrance fee. We shall return with his sisters soon.

1st of all the Park I think isn't great. I found the enclosures quite small and I really don't like seeing the beautiful animals cooped up! The food areas are o.k. but this park is really for little kids!!! you will be sitting on plastic chairs and eating with plastic forks....

I loved however the petting farm! I do like feeding the goats :) and the best bit of all we met the meerkats! We were very lucky that it was only myself and my sister on the experience so we had lots of time with them :) Our guide was excellent! really sorry cant remember his name! Loved petting the meerkats and REALLY wanted to take one home!!!! Would definitely come for another experience but wouldn't go back for the park.

To be honest im probably too old for wandering around zoos but- we visited 12th September and were a bit stunned at how much wasnt avaliable to do- lots of the kiosks were closed, place looked a bit grubby and the staff had quiet an intense argument in front of the few visitors wandering around. So 4 adults £16 each-and total waste of time.

Went here last week with the hubby and baby and it was a nice family day out.

A friend of mine had been there on a tiger feeding experience day and she raved about it.

So I was expecting loads of tigers and sadly only saw 1 Orange tiger which was all they had. And we had to wait till 5pm to find it at feeding time. We tried at various points in the day to find it around its enclosure with no joy.

However the white lion family was good as we got there when people went in to feed them and do pictures so got to watch that.

Would definitely go again in a few years when baby is up and running around as they have loads to do including a splash pool. Perfect for the summer Sun.

An amazing day, i was fortunate to have a 'big cat experience' i chose rocky the black and gold tiger, the place is immaculate, animals in very good condition, well fed and cared for, camera is essential, you can get really close to the animals. Food.. burgers, hotdogs, paninis etc all reasonably priced, no more expensive than any other day out. Plan for all day as there is so much to see, the keepers give talks throughout the day and are very informative and enthusiastic, also feeding time for the animals are listed, so you can plan which you want to see.
This is not a zoo with alot of large animals, it specialises in a very extensive cat collection, snow leopards, white lions, white tigers, jaguars etc, a must though for big cat lovers.
There is also alot for young kiddies to do, lots of attractions, but i think some of them you pay for seperately.
all in all a great day out

I visited the park on a day out with work; shame the weather was raining although this funny hinder the visit.
The park is small although has a fair range of things to see, animals birds etc. Plenty if good places as well.
Nice visit although I wouldn't have gone if it wasn't a work trip.

Lovely family day out, especially good for the under 10s. Our six year old grandaughter had a fabulous day with plenty of animals to see and plenty to play on. Thoroughly good day spoilt only by the expensive food and drink, which is normally the case when visiting zoos etc . Four hotdogs £16, plus coffees and drinks all day add up to a tidy penny. Would certainly visit again but if going with a few children would certainly recommend taking packed lunches for them.

We took our grand children to the Wildlife park last week. We haven't visited for years, and what a pleasant surprise. There are lots of things for the children to play on one side of the park ad the animals are the other. The thing that I liked most was that you are so close to the animals and there is an upstairs part so that you can see them all. The keepers went into the cheetahs den and fed them by hand. Amazing! There was a white tiger and a white lion which were stunning. We also went to see the birds fly, which was very interesting. A lovely day out and the children wanted to know when they could go back there ( 7 and 9 years old). That is a very good sign they had a great time.

I recently organised a large group to visit the park. Dispite the weather being against us, we had a wonderful day. The park is extensive, catering for all ages. The animals appear to be happy within their enclosures and your able to get up close for some great pictures.
We enjoyed 5 hours walking around and could have easily stayed longer. Worth every penny.

What a wonderful place for children! My daughter loves it there, and its so well planned out that even her auntie and uncle can take her without worrying about changing facilities etc.

Very interesting place, variety of animals to see and plenty for the kiddies with slides and parks. They also get to feed some of the farmyard animals my son really enjoyed this. We shall be visiting again as we loved it so much :)

What a fantastic place! Endless fun all day long - plenty of spaced out talks/feeds.. Play area, picnic area, splash lagoon, rides, bouncy castle, slide, playground, train rides, indoor play !!! Then there are all the incredible animals - beautiful big cats !!!!!!! Informative friendly staff - we spent the WHOLE day at Paradise Wildlife Park and still need to come back to see and do more !!

We love visiting Paradise Wildlife Park, definitely one of our favourite days out.
We've visited loads of times over the years and - as the Park develops constantly - there are always fascinating things to do and see.
I particularly love the big cats and my daughter is obsessed with wolves so we are in our element. The staff have been fantastic, offering help and advise with her recent school project and have gone that extra mile to support her.
We've also adopted red pandas and booked an animal experience for this year.

The animals all seem to be happy and have plenty of space and care.

Can't recommend it highly enough!

Graham and I took the grandchildren Cameron aged 11 and Lucy who is 9, here yesterday. We all had a really great time (and to be honest Graham and I didn't think we would really - it was a trip for the kids). Plenty of places to eat either snacks or bbq food or you can take your own. The staff put on shows/quizzes on the little stage in which the children can join in. There's a lovely play area for the kids which Lucy spent an hour in and there were slides and other things suitable for her age group. There were bouncy castles, other play stuff and a splash pool for younger children. The four of us then went round the animal enclosure. I've never really understood what people would get from going on a safari but now I understand!! The animals have so much space and such a variety from white lions, camels, smaller animals that children can feed eg goats and sheep to meercats. An emu ate from the palm of my hand, its beak is rounded so it didn't hurt. I then fed a reindeer, whose lips felt like soft velvet on my hand. One of the tigers came right up to a fence and we were so close to it. There are keepers around who obviously love the animals and are happy to engage with the children. We spent ages ages going round. We rounded the day off with a game of adventure golf on their excellent 18 hole course. We just about finished by 6.00 when the park closed. We went home weary but oh so pleased to have visited. Truly a place for the young and not so young.

The zoo sell bags of animal feed at £1 each. You have to watch out for signs as only certain animals can eat this food.

I've just spotted a review from a woman who says she 'felt sorry for the white tiger because its enclosure is increadibly small' She couldn't have seen all the walkways and tunnels that all the animals seemed to be able to access in their own particular enclosure.

All Iknow is, we had a really good day - the sun shining all day was a bonus!!

It's impossible to write a review that covers all aspects, because the number of attractions is so enormous. Sufficient to say that any child of any age will find lots of fun things to do here there's so much parkland play equipment. We went to visit the zoo. Both of us are professional scientists, so we're interested the the standard of the collections, the way the animals are displayed, the information provided, and the contribution to conservation and breeding programmes. On all of these accounts I would rate Paradise Wildlife Park excellent. The strongly attractive aspects of the zoo collection are these: the animals are housed in excellent conditions, with plenty of space; animals and their enclosures are kept very clean - no "zoo smells" here; all the animals are happy, who love being looked after by highly professional keepers. We paid extra to have a special tour (experience) with a zookeeper. She was with the group (two dozen) for at least two hours, and gave fascinating insights into the animals. The strong collections here are tigers, small primates, some farmyard animals, animals that kids like to see in picture books (zebra, camels, that sort of thing), there's a gorgeous reptile house where the snakes and easy to see and very nicely displayed. The venue has the standard sorts of catering one gets at this kind of attraction in England, plus a good souvenir shop, an adequate tea room, plenty of picnic space, plenty of outdoor seating. Some of the animals are displayed publicly at a set time. I loved the owls, for example. Unusually for a zoo, there are a few animals for which you can buy some tid bits of food, and let the children feed by hand - we saw this being done with zebra. We won't hesitate to go here again as a larger group. We'd like to take our grandchild who lives in France. The entrance fee seems high (a party of two adults and three children will pay about £75) but the running costs are £8500 a day, 365 days of the year. The entrance fee includes 20% VAT. The Park receives no grants or subsidies from public funds

First time of being here and will defo be returning. Don't know why i haven't been here before!!! Great variety of animals, lovely staff members who actually engaged with the children when they spoke to them, lovely play area and the splash pool is great for a quick dip. Pleased the carpark is close to pop back for picnic bag. Overall excellent and fun.
