We visited PWP today and I just can't put my finger on what I didn't enjoy. Myself, my partner and his 7 year old visited, we paid online and it came to £45...it seemed steep for what was there. All the animal enclosures seemed a lot smaller than other Zoos. We brought ourselves 2 drinks and a icelolly, the Fanta had bits floating in it, when we looked at the best before date it was out of date by 3 months...bit worrying, the icelolly was barely cold let alone frozen. We took it back to the lad in the kiosk, Although he dealt with it and gave us new in date drinks and lollies he couldn't have seemed less bothered by it. I'm not sure who was more bored there, the animals or the staff! I'm not one to see all the bad in places, there is a lot of fun activities for the kids, plenty of slides and bouncy castles! The chap that drives the train was a charmer and made us feel super welcome. It's fab that we got so close to the big cats, the little one was having the time of his life. All that considered, would I visit again...? For £45 and only really 3 hours worth of zoo and park to see...probably not.

Had a lovely day during February half term. We booked discounted tickets online so price wasn't too bad.
Park nice and clean, animal enclosures looked clean as well.
Tiger lookout cafe was lovely as a warm up spot!
Had a lovely day out and will be returning again

We took all three Grand kids to Paradise Wildlife Park last Half term and had a great day. All the kids were fascinated by the many animals in the park. All the big cats were a maximum of 2 metres away were amazing to see. The staff were helpful knowledgeable. There were a huge amount of animals in the park and we were lucky enough to see many of the animals being fed. Easy to get to from London or M25 and great value.
We took a picnic but there are two or three restaurants / Cafes on site. Cant wait to go back again.

The pros:Its well thought out, there are lots of elevated areas to view the big cats from and some viewing areas where you can get very close to the cats. My area of expertise is with snakes and most zoos don't keep their snakes properly. I judge animal care by the state of the snakes as I know if this is being done correctly or not.
The snakes vivarium's were correct for the different breeds. The green anaconda had large rats down for it's food which is inappropriate and showed some care that is lacking, however the snakes were a good size and not skinny as is often the case in zoos.
The rest of the zoo was very nicely set out, I would like to visit again.
The cons: The food court was too small by a long way, it's hard to get a seat. The food itself was pretty good. The coffee comes straight out of a vending machine and was terrible. The staff of the entrance were rude. they stamped my hand even though I said I didn't want readmission. I asked why they insisted on doing so and they said it was company policy which isn't a reason.
Summary: A nice medium sized zoo, definitely worth a visit. Be prepared to have ink stamped on your wrist even if you don't want readmission. Don't expect to get a seat inside to eat and bring your own coffee.

Had a great day out, no kids just adults. My son took me and my Mum for Mothers Day, loved it. Big Cats, Monkeys a Bird display, speedway racing circuit for dads and big kids, diner ! I could go on and on. This Zoo/safari park really does have something for everyone irrelevant of age. Found discount tickets online (days out with kids website) £13 each !!! for whole day, spoke to keepers about tigers, had a great day. Will be going again.

We love paradise park we visit at east 6 times a year as its very local for us and such a good value day out we have seen the big cats at night being walked found the zoo on leashes an amazing sigh!!we always have a relaxed day with lots to see and do,the value for money is exceptional considering the bigger zoos in the area who fall very short in comparison with PEP,we went on mother's day last year and received free entry for myself and we shall be heading there again this year as there are few places I would prefer to spend the day,See you on Sunday!!!

I have visited in an English 'Heatwave' and I have visited in a downpour - but on Monday the weather was cold but nice and bright

it was just as welcoming as before and I couldn't wait to have another look round

I started with the Woodland Walk as I didn't have time for that on previous visits and spotted lots of birds feeding, whilst I sat, invisible in the Bird Hide

All the animals were happy to come out to be photographed except the Ocelot and that was a shame, but I got good photos of all the rest

Would happily spend time travelling up the A12 / M25 to visit again as admission is very reasonable and the Zoo is lovely

Booked our Xmas present off a friend for today. It was couples shadow a zoo keeper for a day.

Day started early with mucking out the alpacas, then suppose to be reptiles but due to snake phobia they planned for us to feed the tortoises. After a small break we went to the farmyard and prepared feeds for the rats, had a play with them too and the ferrets! Fed Nancy the pig too. Watched the jungle show before lunch (included) and some free time.

After lunch we watched the bird show and met Sweeney the crow and did some flying, also did flying with an owl. This was very cool experience. We then had small mammals tour where we fed the otters and red pandas! Due to it being my birthday, Freya the meerkat is also a leap year baby, we were allowed to go and see her and family. They were running all over us and had a little cuddle. Was such an amazing experience!

It got even better when we found out afterwards that we were going to feed the lemurs! We fed the ring tailed and red coat. They were funny characters and don't think twice about jumping on your shoulder to be closer to the food.

We finished off our day with the big cat feed and talk. It was such an amazing day! Highly recommend everyone to do this!

We recieved a lovely tshirt and certificate at the end of the day.

The animals looked well cared for. There was plenty to see. I would have liked to have had the information given to us at the beginning of the day in a simpler form. The programme is very busy and confusing to read. The map of the park is difficult to follow.

This place is amazing. Got so many great close up of animals. Highlight was seeing white tiger getting fed. Was 1 meter away. So many animals to look at and the park is run really well. Enjoyed everything about it.

Paradise certainly lives up to its name . It's an amazing place to take children . I have visited many times with my daughter and granddaughter and we always have a great time . There is so much for youngsters to do and the animals are amazing , especially the white tigers and lions . The play areas are excellent - although as usual the food and drink is a bit expensive . The park is well kept although this winter I did feel the crazy golf needed some maintenance to bring it up to standard . Overall a good value for money day out - we are buying annual passes this year !

Had a great day out at paradise wildlife park went on valentines day for something different. Saw the owl display which was in depth and up close, great photo opportunity. The park Has a wide range of animals especially big cats😻. We bumped into a keeper who told us lots of information on the big cats their personalities, history and the conservation efforts around the country. What I like about the park is there's a ramp up to a higher level which means you get a good view of the animals and its great for wheelchair users and buggies. The parks not to big so doesn't have to be a full day out but there is play grounds, shows and a few rides so can be a jammed backed day if you have children. Another thing I really enjoyed was a little cafe on a higher level where you can have a sandwich, hot drink or cake whilst watching the tigers!

Whilst visiting family we took a visit to Paradise Park. It was worth the money, the animals were all clean and looked very happy. Lots to do with younger children on a nice summers day. One big thumbs down was nowhere inside to eat our picnic, they have shelter which is open sided so very cold. My Father in Law is disabled and unable to get out of his chair so gets very cold so a nice warm inside area for picnics is a good idea. Even though the rest of my family bought food the girl behind the counter was quite rude about him eating his stuff. Think it might make me think about going this time of year again!

Have been going here for a long time, just better and better, reinvestment allways upgrading your experience, great day out, feed the animals, playcentre for younger ones can get busy. Plenty to do without repeating your activity. Very pleasant, will be returning again. Now live 2 hours away, worth the drive, not had a bad experience there yet.Albert the train driver is fantastic.

I enjoyed viewing the animals, a large collection might I say for small grounds (take that as you will).

I thought it was maintained to a standard which was not at its highest however wasn't disgusting.

Staff in the cafe were friendly but very us knowledgable about the zoo, for they 'just worked in the cafe.'

I am a training veterinary nurse looking to expend my career into exotic rehabilitation- however I could not find a keeper anywhere to question about this! Besides the man sweeping the leaves off the ground in the freezing cold looking like he just wanted to climb back into bed!
- poor soul.

I would recommend it as a day out- but I would question the five needs of the animal welfare act 2006.

I went yesterday, 14th Feb, with my husband and 2 children (10,7) the kids have been before with grandparents but was mine and hubby's first time and we all had a great day! Got to see all the big cats which are Amazing!! The cheetah and white lion talk/feed were very good all the keepers were very informative. Also saw the otter and red panda talk/feed again superb. Gibbons were full of mischief and fun to watch and loved seeing my favourites the wolves and many meerkats. Our children were lucky enough to stroke a python and were able to ask the keepers lots of questions about him.
I also completely disagree with the below poor review we all had a great day and thought the park was very good and as a family we have also visited lots of zoo's. Yes there is quite a few play areas, more so for younger children and mini golf etc but I do not think this is a bad thing the zoo needs money for the upkeep of all those beautiful animals and if playareas bring in paying families with younger children then it's a win win in my eyes!
Great day where you'll get to see many big cats amongst other animals you wouldn't normally see.. I would recommend a visit to anyone!

Partner took me here for Valentine's Day. It's an amazing place with loads of different animals. Lots to do for the kids. From crazy golf to feeding the animals, all sorts! Seriously cannot praise them enough. Didn't much like getting urinated on by Motu the lion! But that wasn't the parks fault lol just don't stand behind the lions!

We have just returned from a one night stay at Paradise Wildlife Park. On our first day we were greeted with hot drinks and biscuits and shown to our apartment straight away. We stayed in the Zebra room and it was fantastic! No expense has been spared in kitting out these apartments with huge TV's in each room and really good quality interior throughout! For the rest of the day we explored the zoo and although the weather was rubbish we were able to see nearly all of the animals. I'd like to say that I completely disagree with a recent review on here, the animals are well looked after and clearly loved by the keepers, we actually saw the wolves snuggling up to their keepers and licking their faces. No part of our experience made us feel that the animals were uncared for and frankly I think it's quite slanderous to write such things!
We had a lovely relaxing evening in the apartment, there is a very useful folder with all info on local restaurants and takeaways and we were free to come and go as we pleased. You are not able to access the main park once it closes, but you can visit the Woodland walk and torches are provided if you wish to do so after dark!
Our second day was equally as fantastic, we woke early to the sounds of the gibbons playing and some very loud roaring from the lions which was just magical!
We opted to have breakfast with the tigers and it was really great. We took a slow walk to treetops café on the way and we were able to see a lot of the animals before the park opened which was really special. During breakfast the tigers were feeling a little lazy inside, but they did come out a few times and munched on their bones whilst we ate our continental breakfast. If you get a chance to stay here I would thoroughly recommend this experience as you can also see the red Pandas from your table which is fab.
We were then collected by Luke (I think!) who took us on a VIP tour of the park. He was really informative and gave us a great insight into how endangered some of the breeds are there and all the great work they are constantly doing to try and protect some of these rare and beautiful animals. Some of the animals there are rescued from circuses and a great deal of the reptiles used to be pets (another reason why negative reviews have annoyed me!). At the end of the tour we got to handle a bearded dragon and a small(ish) snake and it was really wonderful.
After our tour we were then free to wander the park again all day and we went to a few of the talks.
All in all a wonderful park and a fantastic experience topped off by some really lovely staff. The price of a day visit is also extremely reasonable in comparison to many other zoos plus you get the bonus of some play ground areas for kids. We will definitely be returning and I'd really recommend you give this park a visit!

There are lots of animals to see and lots of keeper talks at different times of the day, we say the cheetah talk and it was very interesting, the keeper was very well informed, the big cats are amazing and you can get very close, we saw the male lion close up and he is beautiful.
