Visited today for a junior zoo keeper experience. We didn’t really know what to expect but it was an amazing experience for our 5 year old. She was able to clean out and feed the red legged seriema, handle hissing cockroaches and giant stick insects, made an enrichment activity for the camels and feed a giant rabbit! Far exceeded our expectations

Lovely zoo, very accesdible snd small enough tp get rpund twice to see the animals you missed. The fsct its the One Zoo Three added extra layers of excitement for our little one. Great family day out.
The new lemur enclosure looks amazing and can wsit to see it open.
Very mobility and wheel chair friendly.
Note to those who are Gluten Free - very limited choices, basically a jacket. Burgers etc have gluten in them. Couldn"t find any snscks other crisps or ice creams. Go prepared.

Not really sure why you have to buy tickets in advance to then queue in the same queue as everyone else. Regardless, good improvements have been made around the Zoo, with lots of baby Animals to see. Food area is still far too small and the queues and prices are too high so we took lunch with us. Shops could have better items inside.

We’ve been to quite a few zoos around the world - Montreal, San Diego, Puglia, etc, and this Zoo is one of the very few where all animals, without exception, look so very healthy and very well cared for! Top credits to all the staff members. It’s clean, very well maintained, with lots of reinvestment and new areas being developed! Dinosaurs world is a very nice bonus and we enjoy that every time we visit! Top score!

We visited at the weekend to take part in the red panda experience and it was truly magical. From reporting to HQ to start our experience we were welcomed and offered drinks, photo opportunities and made to feel special. We were then introduced to George who took us to the red pandas. George was brilliant. He took time to chat to me and my son and was obviously very knowledgable and cared deeply about all the animals. We were lucky enough to get both red pandas come down and eat the treats we were giving them.
Overall it was one of the best experiences we’ve had and I would recommend it to anyone. George was fantastic and we bumped into him later on in our visit and he stopped to say hi and suggest alternative viewing areas for the animals. Above and beyond our expectations.

Travelled 4 hours to visit this zoo and can honestly say it was well worth the journey!! Me and my son throughly enjoyed our visit! All staff were really friendly. The zoo is super clean and the animals are well looked after! So much to see and so many animals! Would I come back.. absolutely!

My autistic son loves dinosaurs and we were very impressed with the dino area. It was laid out well with lots of dinos. The zoo area had lots of animals and was easy to get around. A nice experience

What a beautiful day out this place offers. Was amazing to see the animatronic dinosaurs and the zoo animals. One of the best we visited. We especially appreciated how they had “warnings” telling us about how certain areas may be so neurodivergent people know what to expect in said areas. Will definitely be back.

Great membership for all year round. Visit weekdays and weekends. My 3 year old has been coming for a year and there’s always stuff to do, never gets bored of it!

We visited in February half term. It was a very cold but dry day and the zoo wasn't overly busy meaning we could see all the animals easily. A great range of animals to see and it was well laid out. We alsi enjoyed the moving dinosaur area. There were new enclosures being created which is a positive sign.

We visited Hertfordshire Zoo on Saturday (14th Feb) and the highlight for our kid was Bluey but also the VR ride and it was all thanks to Lewis who was running it. He took time making sure our nervous 7 year old felt comfortable before we started. When there was a small technical glitch through our ride, he fixed it calmly and efficiently without making us wait long. Lewis was so patient and enthusiastic, he clearly knows the ride well and goes the extra mile to make sure everyone has a great time. Our whole family loved it so thank you HZ we will definitely come back 😀😀

We went for our 10th anniversary to feed the meerkats. Lucy was our zoo keeper and she was fantastic her knowledge and information on them was amazing to hear. She was a lovely young lady and you can feel her dedication to the zoo and her heart is definitely in her job.
I just want to say ive not been since I was a kid but we will definitely be visiting again in a few months to see the new developments and to feed the big cats.
Thank you to all workers we crossed today they were so friendly.
All round a 5 star place thank you 😊
