Where to find the perfect Father's Day present in Heanor and Ripley

It's the middle of June already and Father's Day is upon us!  If, like us, you've been caught napping and haven't yet got a present sorted out for your Dad, there are lots of options available locally for you to find the perfect gift to suit your budget.

The first and most obvious place that comes to mind is the brilliant Frosts Hallmark, right in the centre of Heanor.  Frosts is a veritable treasure trove, with a surprising number of ranges, from Father's Day chocolates and treats, through to hip flasks, beer glasses and mugs, all priced under £10.  There's also a massive range of cards to choose from, whether you prefer traditional, soppy,  humorous or downright cheeky!

If your Dad is a complete gastronome, fancies himself as a Masterchef or just likes to do a bit of cooking, maybe a voucher from the Jamie at Home range may be his cup of tea. Or if he prefers the baking side, inspired by The Great British Bake-off or Choccywoccydooda, it's probably a bit too late to get him an actual novelty cake made by Tricia at Cakes 4 All Occasions, but you could enrol him on one of her popular cupcake or cake decorating classes!

Maybe he's the outdoorsy type, in which case you'll need to take a trip to Weekend Leisure, where you can find all manner of camping, caravanning and outdoor equipment and accessories. Or if he's a gardener,  4Occasions Florist in Codnor have lots of choice for house and garden plants, as well as shrubs and even some trees!  They also have an original and unique range of garden and plant related accessories and gifts, perfect for every green fingered Dad.

If he's into his cars, however, how chuffed would he be with a bit of personal Pimp My Ride - get him a full set of window tints, some cool body graphics, or a state of the art entertainment system for his pride and joy at Custom Automotive Styling Solutions. Can't decide which he'd prefer or what he'd want - Then just ask for a gift voucher for him to enjoy spending himself getting just what he wants!

Of course, you could give him something that will last even longer and could make a massive difference to his confidence and his entire future, with a style session with Heanor and Ripley's premier Style Coach, Belinda from Be Free Style Coaching. She can help him learn how to dress confidently and stylishly, in a manner that will match his age and his lifestyle - who knows where that could take him!!!

And if you're a bit more of a traditionalist, there's plenty of choice for good old carvery lunches, or a meal out in the evening.  We highly recommend either Moss Cottage Hotel or The Marquis of Ormonde for carveries, and Nirvana in Heanor or Sylhet Spice in Ripley for a good curry!! (Look our for Sylhet Spice's fantastic competition with some great prizes all this month!)

We're really lucky to have such a wide range of options in our small corner of Derbyshire.  So there really is no reason to forget your Dad this Father's Day, and every reason to BUY LOCAL!
