Its the school holidays again and many of us have already started planning loads of activities to keep our kids entertained throughout next week.

To help you with this, we've got a full round up of Half Term Activities across our area so you can work out what to do and where to go this February...

Midland Railway Butterley

Half Term trains will be running all week, with departures from Butterley Station from 11am through to 2.50pm, with the latest train returning by 3.35pm.  travel in the special scenic railcars which give passengers a driver's eye view of the fantastic Derbyshire scenery plus complimentary hot drink for all passengers and 10% discount in the station shop. when not on the trains, visit the various museums and experiences, including the Matthew Kirtley Building (Railway Museum), ‘West Shed Experience’, Demonstration Signal Box andVictorian Railwayman's Church all of which are open from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.

Crich Tramway

The Tramway museum opens its doors for the 2013 season just in time for the February Half Term, with a full range of trams in operation and spring crafts available for children of all ages in the learning centre every afternoon from 1 - 3pm.

Monday 18th, Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th – Mask Making

Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd – Rocking Birds

 Denby Pottery

The Denby Craftroom opens this year on 15th February, in time for the Half Term Holiday! Tours are at 11am, 12pm, 2pm or 3pm daily. Find out how we make our pottery, then have lots of fun making a clay souvenir to take home, and painting on plates. Between 18th and 22nd Feb there will be a special 'fire to keep' offer of just £6.95 per piece (normally £7.95).

Craftroom Tour Entry: £5.25 adults and senior citizens,£4.25 children. The Tour lasts around 60 minutes and is suitable for all ages and abilities. Booking is recommended but not essential, call 01773 740 799.
