My partner Lynne's Mum Anne Montgomery lost her brave fight against Crohn’s disease ten years ago this November. We had been looking for a way to remember her in some way this year but nothing we thought of felt right.

So as a tribute to her life and to raise funds to help other sufferers, in her memory I have decided to do a tandem sky dive on Sunday 26th August 2012 at Nottingham airfield to raise money for Crohn's and Colitis UK (Registered charity number 1117148)

We could not think of a better way to pay tribute to and honour Anne life than to support this great cause in helping other sufferers.

Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are chronic, terrible, currently incurable conditions which have affected people very close to us both as my late father Jim Joynes also suffered from Colitis.

Around 240,000 people in the UK have been diagnosed with these conditions and more are diagnosed each year. Crohn's & Colitis UK require our donations to help provide support to those who suffer and to fund research into finding a much needed cure. Symptoms include diarrhoea, bleeding, severe abdominal pain, exhaustion and in the case of children impaired growth.

Unsurprisingly these conditions have a devastating impact on education, work, social and family life. NACC is the major UK charity offering support to all people affected through its help lines, newsletters, information booklets, local community groups and website www.nacc.org.uk

Please use the details below for the on-line fundraising page to sponsor me or for updates on the event.

Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Just Giving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate, I raise more, your donation is worth even more, while saving time and admin costs for the charity. So, if you remember Anne, are affected by these conditions in any way and want to support this great Charity, or you just like the idea of me jumping out of a plane at 10,000 plus feet please donate a little something, it really would be appreciated.

Anything you can spare will make the experience more enjoyable, if preferred a paper sponsor form is also available in Lynne’s shop Scented Willow 44 Oxford Street Ripley.
