Ofsted Success for Lons Infant School, Ripley

Pupils and staff at Ripley Lons Infant School are celebrating a ‘good’ Ofsted report after government watchdogs visited.

Teaching standards, pupil’s achievement and the schools environment were all praised” said Chair of Governors Tracey Slack.

Ofsted have recently launched a new framework, which makes achieving this level of outcome much harder, so this is a real testament to the hard work of the staff and teachers, and the high standards of the school.

The announcement of the outcome of the inspection  also coincided with the schools launch of its very own on site forest school, which has been two years in the making and has transformed a piece of abandoned woodland next to the school into a fantastic outdoor learning environment for the children.

If you have children starting school in the near future and wish to look around please call the school secretary on 01773 744319.

Alternatively you can visit the school on New Parents Evening, which takes place on Tuesday 18th June at 6.30pm or visit the school's brand new website www.lons.derbyshire.sch.uk, where you can find out much more about life at the school.
