Do you want to be involved in something positive in your community? Do you know of anything in your local area that needs improving? The National Citizen Service is a project that runs over the summer that is a government scheme to improve the life and skills of young people by getting them involved in the community.

Teams may be involved in creating a wildlife garden at a primary school, renovating a community hall, helping a local charity, creating a new patio area for a residential home or working on other equally worthwhile projects.

The team co-ordinating this scheme here in Derbyshire is currently looking for suitable projects for our local youngsters to get involved in, If you know of any projects please get in touch with Chris Theobold on 0300 1237890 Ext:4237 or by email at Christophertheobold@derbyshirecollege.ac.uk.
