Derby College is currently exploring the possibility of developing a Studio School and it wants to open it in Heanor.

Studio Schools are a new concept in education, which seek to address the growing gap between the skills and knowledge that young people require to succeed by pioneering a bold new approach to learning which includes teaching through enterprise projects and real work with employers.

‘The Studio College’ will be one of the first Studio Schools in the region and will offer 14-19 year olds of all abilities a new, unique and innovative approach to their learning.

It is proposed to locate the new Studio School at the site of Derby College’s Mundy Street campus at Heanor, Derbyshire, and the College have launched an online survey to find out what we think.

The consultation is open to the wider community, parents, pupils and employers. The College says that it really value your views on these proposals so please take a moment to fill it in. This is your chance to shape what this school can be like in the future. All answers are confidential, so please be as honest as possible.
