There is a salon in Heanor where ladies can indulge in a luxury facial for just £8.50, a hot mitt manicure including massage for £9 or professional makeup for just £3.
Where is it I hear you ask? Ever heard of Tranquility, the Hair and Beauty Salon at Heanor Gate Science College? Every Monday and during the school holidays, Gemma and Laura, the qualified beauticians have appointments available for local people, from waxing and shaping, to hopi ear candles and spray tans. Prices for the qualified beauticians range from £3.50 for an eyebrow tint, up to a maximum of £25 for a full body massage.
If you want an even better price, twice a month the beauty therapy students hold supervised evening sessions, enabling them to develop their practical skills on clients in a real salon setting. Whilst they may still be students, every move is supervised so you can still be sure to get a top quality treatment, just at a lower price. And you're also helping our local students to get practical and necessary qualifications, helping to train the next generation of entreprenuers and salon owners.
The next evening sessions will be on 12th and 15th December, perfect timing for a pre-christmas pamper
