In October, The Lloyds Bank Community Fund 2014 will award St Nicholas Hospice with funding for our Community Outreach Centre in Haverhill.
The amount is yet to be decided. A community vote will decide if it is a cheque for £500, £1,000, £2,000 or £3,000. Therefore every vote really does count!
The four awards are to be handed to the Hospice, Budding Artists, Hedingham Youth Club and Halstead Day Centre.
St Nicholas Hospice Care supports patients and families who are coping with a life-shortening illness. An award would help support the launch of our first outreach centre in Haverhill, bringing our services into the heart of an under-served community.
The Outreach Centre opened in Haverhill in May 2014 as has proved to be a huge success for members of the local community. Previously patients had to travel to the surrounding towns for their treatements whereas now they can recieve the care and treatment they need much closer to home.
