East Town Park has already been recognised as one of the best in the country. Now voting has opened to allow residents to say it is their favourite park. The coveted Green Flag has been awarded and retained by the 50 acre park, used and loved by local people of all ages. This makes it eligible to go up against the likes of the Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds, Christchurch Park in Ipswich and Victoria Park in London’s Tower Hamlets. Voting opens on-line from 1 September until 30 September – just go towww.greenflagaward.org , choose East of England, zoom in to find the green flag on Haverhill and click on it to reveal the ‘vote for this site’ button. If you are on social media, share your vote using #MyFavouritePark . The parks with the most votes win the prestigious People’s Park Award for 2015.
