The summer is fast approaching and whilst the children count down the days with excitement, many parents dread that final day of school.
How do you keep a child entertained for six weeks and still manage to function on a day-to-day basis?
It's one of the great mysteries of the world and one I still have to solve. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is literally tearing their hair out and rocking back and forth by day three of the summer holidays, with the soundtrack of 'I'm bored!' in the background.
Juggling antsy children, work and household chores is no mean feat. Wouldn't it be great if there was a camp nearby that kept the kids entertained, taught them a new sport, gave them the opportunity to make new friends, and didn't break the bank?
Haverhill Golf Club's Summer Golf Camp comes to the rescue!
Available to juniors between the ages of 5 and 18, Haverhill Golf Club's Summer Golf Camp costs just £100 for five days' coaching, including lunches! That's right – five days of peace and quiet for a lot less than you used to pay for a week at your child's nursery.
Simply drop the children off at 9am and pick them up at 3pm – the Summer Golf Camp will do the rest...

Junior Academy
Created in 2008, Haverhill Golf Club's Junior Academy has helped numerous local children learn how to play golf. Now with more than 70 members, sessions run every Sunday from 10am until 11am and 11am to midday and cost just £4.
The Junior Academy is also tailored for 5 to 18 years olds and runs all year round, including the summer holidays.
And it's not just for the kids!
Why should the children be the only ones who benefit from great value golf tuition this summer?
Haverhill Golf Club is running five Beginner's Golf Sessions for Ladies and Gents throughout August and they're not only affordable, they're FREE!
Come and meet the friendly and experienced PGA Golf Professionals for a fun day's introduction to golf on one of the following days:
Saturday 16th August: 9am to 2pm
Sunday 17th August: 12pm to 4pm
Monday 18th August: 10am to 3pm
Saturday 23rd August: 9am to 2pm
Sunday 24th August: 12pm to 4pm
During the day, you will learn the basics on the golf range and short game practice areas, before being taken onto the golf course itself to enjoy a taste of what Haverhill Golf Club has to offer its members.
There is a £10 refundable deposit to book your place, which will be reimbursed on arrival. Equipment and golf tuition is supplied free of charge and if you're a little peckish after your session, snacks start at just £3 in the Clubhouse.
And if you get bitten by the golfing bug, follow-on mixed group tuition is available for £45 per person for an eight week course of one hour sessions. That's just over £5.60 per session!
