Once again the East Town Park transformed into times gone by when the Cambridge Touring Theatre Company came to Haverhill on Saturday 21st July with their brilliant adaptation of King Arthur and the Sword in the Stone. It was a lovely summers evening and the cast did a wonderful job with their witty lines and audience participation in abundance. Appealing to both children and adults, the storyline unfolded seamlessly as Walt undertook several tests of character, whilst the evil Princess Morgan tried to thwart him. Boo’s from the audience were aplenty as she plotted against him but goodness prevailed and Walt was able to lift the sword from the stone when no one else could and became King Arthur. Great songs, jokes, costumes and a fantastic delivery of lines meant that the audience was thoroughly entertained and will be welcomed back next year. ]]>
