Hospice seeks outlets for new scratchcards

Scratchcard fans will enjoy St Nicholas Hospice Care’s latest fundraising initiative.

Priced at £1 each, Hospice Lottery scratchcards give players the chance to win a top prize of £1,000 – or smaller prizes of £1, £2, £5, £10, £25, £50 and £100 - by matching three identical amounts.

The cards are already on sale at the Hospice and Gavin Ashley hair salon, in Churchgate Street, Bury St Edmunds. But now the lottery team is appealing for more outlets to get on board.

Georgina Car, Individual Giving Manager, said: “We know people are going to love the scratchcards as they have the potential to win big yet each card only costs £1 – while at the same time the player is helping the Hospice.

“But we would like to find more outlets to sell them. If you run a shop, business or salon and would be willing to stock the scratchcards, please get in touch. It won’t cost you a thing and we will support you throughout.”

Meanwhile, the Hospice is asking brides and grooms to consider giving the scratchcards as an unusual wedding favour.

Lottery Officer Caroline Tatum will be visiting wedding fairs across the region this year in the hope of tempting brides and grooms to do their bit for charity and offer their guests the chance to win a prize, by giving scratchcard favours.

For more information, or if you think you could stock the cards, call 01284 755000 or email lottery@stnh.org.uk
