Matthew Hancock MP will be holding his sixth jobs and apprenticeships fair in Newmarket on Friday 20th March. This is for local businesses, those looking for a job and those interested in a career change.

The Jobs Fair is supported by local businesses and organisations, and the dedicated and innovative team at Newmarket Job Centre Plus.

Seminars will be running throughout the morning, covering CV writing, preparing for interviews and tips on finding jobs and apprenticeships.

Commenting, Matthew said:

“I am thrilled to be holding my sixth jobs fair in West Suffolk.  I am proud that unemployment continues to fall and that we now have a record number of people in work.

But while there are any unemployed people in West Suffolk, we must work hard to support them in getting the jobs and skills they need.

My jobs and apprenticeships fair is a great opportunity for anyone looking for work, a career change or for training and education opportunities to come along and see what is on offer.

As MP for West Suffolk, I know how important it is to get local businesses and other relevant organisations together to help secure employment and apprenticeships for local people.  I am proud to have been one of the first MPs in the country to hire an apprentice myself and still have one in my Parliamentary office now, who is a valuable member of my team.

I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible at my event on Friday 20th March.
